doesnt this denim shrink a lot? I seem to recall reading a pretty high % of shrinkage somewhere.

It took 4 days to get the jeans from and-japan. I ordered from there because japan has arcs and I wanted arcs. Plus, everyone who owns Full Counts in this thread had nothing but good things to say about and-japan, and many people in this thread I have come to respect because they are nice and helpful. If you dont like the fit, thats fine. But they are far from too tight, as you have been implying via words and pics. I wouldnt want them to be any tighter thats for sure.

a 32 one wash waist measures close to 33 (1108 cut). My 32's fit like a slim straight should. Far from skin tight.

I bought from and-japan because I felt like it. I sized down one because I felt like it. Both good enough reasons for me.

and along the lines of what setterman says, its not really sizing down. Its going by measurements, and buying the size that fits. If that means the jeans I need to buy are a size 29, then so be it.

Hollows delivers more bang for your buck and the craftsmanship is right up there. I just got back from Peru and wore my Hollows belt every single day, no matter what part of the country I was in. My opinion is go for a Hollows Leather belt.

my thigh about 12" pretty big but my true waist is 31.5-32

you are right on the edge of what I would consider confortable when it comes to the 1108. I have 32's in the 1108 and the thigh measures 12" right at the crotch straight across. This was after a 30 minute cold soak. The waist stretched out pretty quickly also.

sd1 worked for me, but depending on how yoked your thighs are could be the deal breaker.

BiG lists the raw measurements. Take into account 4-7% shrink.

and-japan lists a size 28 one wash as 73.5cm, which is about 29 inches.

BiG raw 28 is 31 inches. 7% shrink would subtract about 2 inches from that measurement.
