Looking at the pics i would agree with you, but they are pretty thin at the sides and i don't want to ruin the leather sole, and when i walk i can hear the nails on the heels scratching the sidewalk with every step.
They've also become slippery, i slipped this winter on some icy snow, leaving the nice 'scar' on the right ankle, so far for the slogan Cat's Paws, Won't slip, guess that only goes if the text is still readable
get some proper Vibrams on those bad boys. I take it these are the ones you are considering resoling, pending customs charges?

Kiya,
Are those Iron Heart hoodies noticeably heavier than the Strike Gold hoodies?
Also, you have any rec's for some solid denim for a woman thats not built like a twig?
Lastly, Sugarcane Hawaii restock?
thanks

based on other members experiences with getting white's resoled in the UK and elsewhere I suggest you just bite the bullet and send them to Whites. Might as well do it right the first time and save yourself the hassle.

In the direct sunlight, they are even darker. Natural CXL Oakstreets

^ I've often wondered myself if the naming conventions are not different between whomever is making the boot. Although I know for a fact that Alden 403's are not number 8. However, the leather they use for their CXL Indy's is a lot different than the normal brown CXL I have seen. Maybe its because the ones I have handled are new/not worn, but there is a luster to them that other brown CXL'd boots (Wolverine 1000) seem to lack. Im going to go outside an take an iPhone pic of my natural CXL OSB's. They are basically brown at this point, but when I first got them, they were much lighter.

its not much better here, but a few places have managed to avoid the typical trappings of fast food.

i dont generally mess with animal style fries. I do fuck with the double double though. In fact, I might have to cop some in n out for lunch. only thing I dont like about them is that their cups and shit have john 3:16 stamped on them. I prefer my biblical references to be non-existent.

anyone has some (pics of some) worn in/broken in boots in #8 burgundy cxl?
doesnt Giles have a pair of Vibergs in #8 CXL?

Ok, this reminds me...John, I need an iPhone 5 sleeve. I know you said you have a couple prototypes but nothing concrete. Any info you can share? They dont strike me as being too difficult to design, but what do I know?

yea they offer that option. I personally think it looks a bit odd, but thats just my opinion.

White's/Bakers red dog rough out oxfords @ 5 months Wore these things all over Peru, and they wore like iron. The laces they come with are way too thin though. Need to replace them. When the rough out gets grungy, I take a nylon bristled brush and all the bullshit just comes off.

Has anyone seen White's Red Dog Smooth in person? I love the Red Wing colour Oro Russet and want a close approximation for my White's. Red Dog was Kyle Baker's opinion, but wouldn't mind getting a second (and more!)
I have some false tongue's of it at home. I can try to take some pics this evening if you are interested. But to answer your question, its pretty close to the oro russet color, although I feel its a bit more complex than red wing's leather. Its also pretty thick. Its a great color

well, my size 32's thigh measurement is right at 12" at the crotch, straight out. This is after a 30 minute cold soak. Im sure they would give a bit more, but the thighs are not under any pressure. A 31 would be too tight in my opinion.

"Private Stock for maniacs" is one of the best brand tag phrases I have ever read.

A few details of my RS04's. First two are just some wear. I love how the chain stitched pockets create an area that shows abrasion. The rivet is something I have been noticing lately. A few have this oil on water look to them that has been developing over time. I had to seriously under expose it to get it to show, as the lighting in my place is awful. Its much more noticeable to the naked eye.

Nice fit Kansas, really dig the Roy's

interested to see the different details and fit alterations. I love my RS04's. I cannot imagine anything better to be honest, so mind = blown

thats def not my style but its cool as hell nonetheless that Ben did this. Im still kicking around the idea of having him make my wife a pair of jeans based on the good cut/shit quality of the Gap jeans she wears now. Im thinking something slubby but sanfordized. She's seen the shit I go through with my unsanfordized jeans in the bathroom and wants nothing to do with it. Shit, I probably want her in decent denim more than she does.

I was fondling those Flat Head tee's at Self Edge the other day. Super nice. I went home with a Strike Gold hoodie instead. I sized right this time as well.
