Ouch! I agree completely though. This is really my own doing. If I bought less and maybe thought a bit harder (about tax in this case) then I could save a fortune. But where’s the fun in that?!
Did you at least love the item you bought? I hope so? I feel that if you end up really enjoying the item then the cost of it is at least somewhat softened over time.
Someone mentioned that it might be cheaper to fly to Rome to collect the jeans in person. I didn’t actually think that was true until I looked it up when having my coffee this morning. I live about 25mins from the airport…
There would even be change for a coffee.
I’m doing local pick up next time 😁
I did ask for the insurance but didn’t think of the tax.
My fault I guess. Still a bit sickening.
Just bought 2 Cushman sweatshirts from Japan. Shipped, they each cost about what this bill was.
I lost a new sweatshirt to HMRC today gang!
Scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. Monday was an extra £12! I’ll take the savings where I can get them.
Still very much looking forward to them
@fabes
Is the normal weight sweatshirt still under the Power Wear label?
I’ve not been able to decipher any code that indicates a different line from the heavyweight models.
Are the cut and fit the same? Thanks.
No, not at all.
My money was collected and spent but no products were delivered (to me).
To add extra woe & cost, I was also charged international shipping too.
He ran a kickstarter that was successful, however he didn’t allow for the tax due on the revenue generated. As a result many peoples orders went unfulfilled, including mine.
He then had some health issues and shut the brand down.
I like the thinking/planning here and it’s great that they still keep the era specific details. I had no idea Levi’s shipped with spare suspender buttons in this period. Cool that Simone could make that spec for you. Very nice.
