Saw this Stay Brave book around Instagram recently. A collection of vintage 501XX by Tsuyoshi Kusanagi. Basically l am curious to know the contents of the book, especially the 1922 501XX collection. I want to know how good/detailed the images are, also with the possibility of it being dual language (Japanese/English) - again just going by the pics. I'm just interested in any more intel on this publication so just putting it out there as l'm not the most internet-ready person but there are peeps with skills here which may help?? Thanks in advance

Sounds feasible. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to 501's made before 1900. -
Actually there are two similar pairs in the 501XX book #1 and #51 and pair #1 have a similar gusset type crotch, albeit a single line of stitching rather than the two rows of stitching along the centre line from crotch to waistband at rear.

Here are some nicer images of the $240k 1890's recently discussed in the other thread, before they disappear into some museum. These courtesy of mushroom vintage. 2 notable things for me. The close up of the crotch construction with what looks like a gusset(?) type thing going on - where's @Sansome1877 when you need him? Secondly, is that a pair of og canvas one pocket duck pants in the first shot? Guy must have spent a fortune.

Yeah saw that - a pair of c.1890's in fairly good condition l believe. Crazy money. -

I'm still using two pairs of specsavers prescription glasses that l bought in 2004, even have the original cases. Think the deal was buy two pairs for 120 quid, so l got one pair clear and one pair of sunglasses. Quality. -
