  1. @beautiful_FrEaK Agreed, they did a good job matching that detail. You must have quite a collection of Sugarcane collectibles now? Maybe time for a How many jeans update?
  2. When l worked for a removal company back in around 2000, l was so hot when doing the job (as were all my colleagues) that it necessitated shorts and t-shirt, even in the cooler months. Obviously my shorts were cut off vintage 501XX 😁 In 2006 l qualified as a drystone waller which l thought would be perfect as l combine my passion for old denim with my passion for being out in nature with my other passion for making things with my hands (l spent 6 years studying sculpture/being a sculptor). Definitely one of the best jobs to enjoy a faded denim tux, unless it's constantly pouring it down with rain of course. The only problem was that my denim wore out too quickly so it wasn't cost effective in the end.
  3. Another vintage repro, Bootleggers 1947 model from before 2005 l think? Anyway they were gifted to me by @Duke Mantee after the end of a yearly tour back in 2016 over on Denimbro. Lovely details and denim and without a doubt one of my favourite pairs out of everything denim that l own. Thanks to sufu for the photo rotation
  4. Forgot l had this pair even though they are part of my usual 3 pair rotation - First edition Levis Vintage Clothing made at the Valencia Street factory in September 1996 (same time that my ^1955 501XX were made) by peeps, some of which (allegedly) worked there making jeans in the 40s, 50s and 60s. They are made with Japanese milled sanforized denim which is supposed to replicate Cone 686 denim? Anyway l bought them around 2008 and had them hemmed by me Ma.
  5. Just one cornetto, give it to me ... (My turn to get my coat 🙂)
  6. Rare piece recently picked up by one of the Lee collectors l follow on lg - 1940-42 Lee Hair on hide 101 Cowboy pants. These are the only pics to surface atm but l will add more hopefully at a later date. Apart from the rarity of a pair in Nos condition, this is the first time l've ever seen this copyright 1940 pocket label. Wow
  7. Saw this detail on an original pair and thought l'd plonk it here. Don't think this WW2 amateur stitching has been replicated yet - two types of stitch count l'm assuming, done on the same machine?
  8. Sold my DS pairs for £380 and £400 back in 2010/2011 but will definitely keep this last pair.
  9. You still can, but not necessarily NWT. The price for nos pairs is around £300-700 now.
  10. And here is my vintage Levis Vintage Clothing items, as lvc was the abbreviation used from late 2003 onwards. Top pair are First edition 1955 501XX from September 1996 and bottom pair are Nos 1920s 201's from 2000. This last pair are destined to be worn in the garden by me once my Csf 41's are trashed.
  11. ^in that case here's my vintage Lvc. Bottom Nos pair are 1937 501XX (button stamp 643M) made in USA in 2004 - these are the pair l'm giving to my son. Top pair are 1955 501XX (button stamp 554) worn infrequently since purchasing back in 2003 from Cinch in Newburgh street.
  12. A rare model, think they were unearthed by the Foremost guy.
  13. Denim related April spring cover for our free monthly local magazine so thought l'd share ..
