  1. Fit looks good. Nice to see that you went with my recommendation to try the SL's. Generally, slim straights look better cuffed or hemmed than stacked. I fiddled with my SL's at the beginning and they just didn't look right with stacks so I cuffed them and have worn them like that since. It's good for the workwear or rockabilly look. I think they'd look good hemmed as well with a slight break, and would work well with basically any style.

    *edit*

I finally washed my SL's after 4 months of solid wear. Damn, these things are hard to fade. I've been wearing them at least 5 days a week and the fades are barely visible. Although I sit most of the day (salary man), I've worn them pretty hard with some occasional field work. I would have worn them longer before washing but they were starting to get filthy. I'll post pics later, but there really isn't much to see.

  2. There is no way you are a true 32 inch waist.
What, you think he's smaller than 32?

If his waist was a true 32", and the waist on the jeans measured 30" (15" across) after soak, they'd be a lot tighter in the waist than shown in the photo.

Either the measurements are off, or he's hella skinny.

  3. how do those chambrays and houndstooth's fit:

i usually wear size M, what size should i get in those?

a size 38 or 40 depending on your measurements?

    i wear a size small t-shirt so i fit a size 36 but sometimes i wished i bought a 38.

I have a 40" chest and also usually wear a medium. All of the FH shirts I own are a size 40, including the Black Mint pink grid (FNW-63W), black herringbone (CW-54W ), and western check (CW-43W). I could have gone with a 42 for the Black Mint shirt since the sleeves are about 1" shorter.

I think that run of houndstooth shirts ran one size small (i.e. a size 40 would measure ~38").

  4. i want them shipped to me but if i have to go overseas and get them myself i am willing to do so.
i did email fabfour and they won't ship internationally to U.S. with red tab. and kiosk78 is about $80 more than retail, but im desperate at this point.

Are you for real? You are willing to go to Japan to buy these jeans, but you have a problem with buying from kiosk78 because they are $80 more than retail?

  5. gave the ST's a hard wash in the shower yesterday

came out stiff and super contrasty on the hige fades....these are gonna have awesome vertical falling... i can just see it starting to develop...

    Pics please.

Fit info: ST-100x sized down 2.

Edit: To be honest, I wasn't feeling the fit of the ST denim to begin with; however, after trying them with a pair of boots (and stretching them out from wear) these are a killer fit. No need to taper now, although I am considering hemming them...

  6. Has anybody considered tapering their ST's? I'm thinking about tapering mine to get the leg opening around 7.25" (from 7.75"). The stacking is a little sloppy right now, and because they fit so tight in the knees and calves they look like they are bootcut.

  7. actually i went for my true size (my waist is 33, so i went for a size 31)

they pretty much fit me just right, not too tight or loose in any areas

maybe a bit baggy in the bum, but i'm not too fussed

So you sized down two. If you went TTS you would be wearing a tagged 33. How the hell is your fit so loose? Your waist must be unproportionally bigger than your thighs/calves. I sized down two (true 32, tagged 30) and I've got the "Sidney Lo" fit going on.

  8. Got my black coated slims yesterday...

Good fit. Did you size down 1? They look tight in the waist, but slim everywhere else. I have the opposite problem, loose in the waist but tight everywhere else. These things are like a boa constrictor on my knees and calves. But I sized down 2...
