My (primitive) understanding is that an Oxford style hides the laces under leather, whilst the balmoral exposes the laces. The former is of course much dressier, and often paired with suits/tux.

Yep, errors. Lovely outfits above fellas!

If anybody here is looking for a nice boot jack, Clinch has one available to purchase from Wolf Pack with international shipping.

I bought this directly from Clinch around 2 years back after going through a few crap jacks, and this is by far the best. Worth the extra.

@spacecadet first thing that jumped to my mind too.

Post up pics @edmond! Fit pics if possible?
Also regarding the humour - all humour is based upon violations (of social, cultural, physical conventions etc.), but what makes something *funny* is whether that violation is benign; interpreted as harmless.
If something has an objectifying implication (for example something racist, sexist etc.), it's hard to interpret it as benign if you don't know the person well enough to have a solid grasp of their intention.
So yeah, on message boards, where it's hard to really grasp someone's overall worldview and intention, probably not the best idea to go with those risqué comments ;).

Very clean work.

@Broark i think you’re looking for the “Denim Addicts Anonymous” club next door if you’re looking for discouragement. I’d snap that beauty up if it fit my style.

What was your impression on sizing in comparison to RMC/JMC's other denim @MJF9?

This sums it up.

Hell yes. 991 and 004 are both rivals for my favourite jean ever. Fantastic cut, construction and denim. Can only imagine the 991bk is the same.

@redgreen Yep the sleeves on the Suvin gold D5595 were super narrow for me, especially at the elbow down! Must be something happening down at ole SDA...
Still, all stretched out now!

Yeah stitching is incredible @dudewuttheheck. Geez that Himel jacket, your wardrobe is insane.

Haha indeed; rest assured the handbrake is now well and truly on!

I could definitely do most Sundays in April.

Forgot to post this up, grabbed a real McCoy’s j-24L last week, loving the quality.

Very cool. Do they have a mailing list/website up and running yet?

That's tricky @gumchum, without the ability to try zipping myself it's hard to say precisely what the remedy is.
Rather than sending all the way back to RMC for a small issue, I'd first bring it to a tailor and see what they can do. In my limited experience, I think it could be an easy fix.
Meanwhile I'm figuring out how to wear this J-24L.

Thanks Ben! 24L - it’s the only one the mouton collar works on (the standard 24 doesn’t have the requisite snaps on the collar for attachment).

Sure:
chest 44”
shoulders 19”
length 26”
sleeves 27.5”

Hear hear. How about a few more pics of that j-24 to turn this thread around Ben!
Also want to say I contacted Standard & Strange for advice on j-24/l sizing recently and Jeremy couldn’t be more helpful. Definitely looking to buy some RMC from them soon; good service makes all the difference.

After trying a lot of clinch, I’d say the rule is go up 1 size for NPT, 1-2 sizes for CN, and their wide last I haven’t tried.

Looks great Akruk, as Geeman says, it's all about the shoulders, and it looks spot on. Smaller would look awful.
