Is it just me, or is it nearly impossible to find a boot that you entirely like?

The vintage boot that Ive always worn has lived a hard life and is in desperate need of retirement.

The only boot that Ive seen in any of my recent memories or hunting that strongly appeals to me is one by Sanders Japan, but I think it was only available at ClutchCafe and is sold out of my size.

    Any suggestions?

^ nice colour... are tux pics on the way @Aries??

Welp, managed to snag some 64 BB Okinawas, tux is complete!

Little man decided to make a prison break whilst the photo was being taken, so had to be scooped up before he reached the main road. He is not happy about the defeat.

  5. Where'd you locate the soles @Brenjay? Or were they provided by the cobbler?

I'm soon to need my Real McCoys boondockers to be resoled, anyone have recommendations on where to find that great cork/rubber sole they use? God knows local Melbourne cobblers won't have it.

Aries. Hard to tell from your pic..is the waist closer to 18” ?  Is there any stretch left in the waist?   Thanks

Hey mate, yep I would say 18"/36" waist. Not sure about how much stretch is left. I've worn them about 10 times, but not sure about the stretch quality of the denim.

If that 20% discount can go toward Clinch, then yes it might work out given European import charges. I was unaware of the import charge. That is good to know.

Yep I’ve used the discount on Clinch myself and also bought from Clinch direct; works out a bit cheaper overall from P&L.

Contact Clinch directly. MUCH cheaper than Pancho and Lefty.

This is true but two caveats: Pancho and Lefty offer a 20% discount if you sign up to their newsletter, and shipping from them will be less expensive than from Japan if you’re in Europe.

  9. A few have asked for comparisons between this shade of denim and others.

Quick comparison of colour between new lot 64 organic cotton and another pair of denim (WH Dungaree R1901, up for sale if anyone's interested):
