I don't think that's correct. I think you should wait longer before washing APCs and Nudies because they lose indigo easier, as well as fade easier.

I believe, though I'm not certain, that the actual reason Kiya mentioned was the lower-quality dyes used by Nudie et al bleed much easier, meaning when they go in the wash they bleed all across the jean, meaning fades don't show up as well et cetera.

Also, you don't have to do the "6 months before your first wash" system. I believe Kiya debunked that as a myth, good Japanese denim can be washed monthly if you wear it regularly and still give amazing fades.

I'm sure someone posted a link about it somewhere with a monthly-washed pair of Sugarcanes that looked beautiful.

First up, the infamous Nudie Masa. Worn for 1 month, one gentle wash (to get all shrinking done), still *loads* of life left in these. The only Masas left I can find are retailing for about £300, but that's obviously brand new, so I'm asking for £100.

Next up, some pre-wash Thin Finn Indigo coated. Worn once, too short. 34x32. Asking for £70.

Nudie belts! Got far too many so need to sell some. These two have been used the least, worn each like twice.

yup, i had both my 008s and blk 005s tapered from a 9" hem to 8.5." it worked out great. the nice about having the pbjs tapered is they usually have the same knee/hem measurement, so the taper can be done at the knee, rather then the crotch. call hollywood trading company/dd and ask for Robert if your in the us.

The raw CPO is going to shrink down a full size, so it should fit you perfectly.

You think it would still be comfortable after shrinking (I'm presuming to 42.5") with a tee or jumper underneath? This is my main concern.

Speaking of alterations has anyone got theirs tapered? I'm strongly considering getting my 005s tapered to a 7.5".

Looking good. Did you get them hemmed? That doesn't look like the normal length, after soaking mine are still about a 35" inseam.

Also - Soulsoi, wash the Bson hoody on a cold delicate wash. Worked fine for me.

Hi chaps, I've browsed the forums for a long time but not really much of a poster.

I recently got hold of both PBJ 005s and 007s. Love the quality of the fabric and the fit, slightly unsure about the leg opening though; simply as it drags under my feet sometimes and can be slightly irksome.

Anyway, just soaked and dried my 007s, so thought I'd share some pics. I've got pics of my 005s if anyone wants to see how they fit (34s, true to waist).
