If you could measure the waist for me that would be great! Thanks
-
Do the 50s shrink in the waist at all? I can't decide if I should get a 32 or 33. I have a pair of sugar cane 1947s in a 32 that fit perfectly and most of my other jeans are 31 or 32. I'm thinking the 33 might be the right call.

The de minimis exemption is now ending next month for the US. Get your jeans ordered from Japan before August 29th

Bears had a presale for the 30th anniversary jeans a while back but I'm having trouble finding any info on them.

I was trying to order a pair via Instagram a while back, he sent me some size charts then stopped responding to my messages so I just gave up. They look like nice jeans and I'm hoping to get a pair someday.

I'm getting a little annoyed by the sharp rivets on my jeans. Has anyone here cleaned theirs up? If so, what was your method?

SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)
nick682 replied to minya's topic in superdenim
Who in the US does the best chainstitch hemming in your opinion? The deeper I dive in this hobby, the more particular I get with the small details. I like the the really small hem width (roughly 1/4 to 3/8 in.) that most Japanese brands have. The roping looks much better with a smaller width from my experience. I recently had my Freewheelers hemmed by Railcar and the hem is almost a 1/2 inch and I don't love it. I've had Blue Owl, Railcar, Science and Kindness, and Self Edge, hem different pairs of mine and the Blue Owl pairs have the best roping. -
I got a pair of the 675xx a little while back. The pattern of the jeans just doesn't fit me right, and the pocket bags are pretty small. It's a shame because they are a nice looking pair of jeans.

I totally missed your reply. I mostly just lurked on IRC and I was probably most active in the general and power user forums. I'm on redacted, but I haven't downloaded any music since what died. I still use PTP, BTN, and HDB quite a bit. I recently built an unraid server that current has 58TB of storage... I went a little overboard lol, but the 4k videos take up a lot of space.

Very cool story, which brings back a lot of memories. I wouldn't be surprised if we communicated on What at some point. I'm still a member on several private trackers, some for over 15 years. I'm not really active in any of their communities, but I do still download stuff.

I'm not really familiar with the collectible series, what justifies the huge price increase from the normal Sugar Cane jeans?

I panic bought a pair of warehouse 1001xx, that should be my last denim purchase for a while. I got them from Takeoff and they shipped incredibly quick!
-
It can't hurt to ask them! I'm curious what their response would be. Here is a pic of the S1001XX before I washed them and taken in different lighting.
-
That could be the S1001XX denim, but it's hard to say. Figuring out Warehouse naming/denim styles can be confusing. Here is a picture of my S1001XX 25th pair after their first wash. I'll get some pics with better natural lighting when the weather is a little better here.

I have the 220A, 220XX-47, and 220XX-54. My 47s have the most wear followed by the 220A (both are minimally faded). I have only tried on the 54s, those will be stored away for a while. The 47s and 54s are size 31 and the 220A are 32. The 220A denim is noticeably heavier/tighter. I like the banner denim of the 47/54s much better than the 220A denim. If I had to pick I'd go with the banner denim - It's very comfortable and I like the color.
-
Do it! I liked the 47s so much that I had to get the 54s. The new xx banner denim is one of my favorites.
-
Are your 47s and 54s the same size? I have the 47s and absolutely love them, so I think I'll get the 54s. How do the fits compare?

Brand new UES 400WW - Size 32 I paid $216 shipped for these from UES. I'll let them go for $175 shipped in the US. They just didn't fit quite right for me. Measured using blue owls guide: Waist 15.5 Thigh 12 Front rise 11.5 Back rise 14.75 Knee 9 Inseam 33.5 Hem 9

I'm pretty sure most warehouse jeans 31 and under have 3 fly buttons.
-
I got these off Mercari brand new for a good deal. I just picked the arcs and gave them a wash - I'm excited to start wearing them!

So BOT is opening online orders later this month. I was told they could ship internationally if I did a bank transfer. Current with time is 15 months. I'll probably pass because that wait is a little long for me. They also changed their name to Beyond of Trust.
