I know that Ben from Snake Oil Provisions is someone that does the raw hem look with boots. I think other people he interacts with have also posted pictures of the same thing. I don't really like the look either, and I think it looks odd with raw denim. I've seen pictures of light stonewash "boyfriend" jeans on Instagram that have raw hems that actually look cool (in my opinion).

A bit of a change of topic, but do you guys remember these from late last year? Look at those prices!

Bit confusing that from the outside the chest measurements is 107cm laid flat and from the inside (should be smaller) it's 118cm, even though measured with 360 method. If that is how these are sized, have to look elsewhere as I'd need p2p 59cmx2=118cm and with 360 method something like 128-130. Biggest size is 124cm, damn.
You'll find that jeans measured 360° style also give a larger measurement than the flat method. I didn't even think about measuring the jacket using the 360° method - thanks @volvo240thebest for the clarification!

G'day mate, I haven't taken any photos of myself with the jacket on, but to get an idea of my build, click here. I'm about 170cm/70kg. I used to gym quite a bit, but now I'm living the lazy life although my chest/back is still a bit on the larger side for someone my height.

Hopefully I didn't come across as a hater. I actually have the brown duck Foremen Vest that I thoroughly enjoy wearing (the reason why I want to try more of TCB's garment offerings). I don't have much of an established relationship with Inoue-san, but it would be nice if someone was able to pass on the info about the '30s Jacket to him.
Just based on a review on TCB's website, it seems that another person has had a similar experience with the chest measurement - that it comes out a lot smaller than displayed in the size chart. A suggestion I would make for now would be for people to enquire about the specific measurements of the size they're looking for (not go off the sizing chart alone) and potentially go for the one-wash version if they're unfamiliar with this fabric's shrinkage.
I would love to see more of the jackets on here, so if you can figure out your size then go for it!

I just reread what I wrote and it does seem unclear as to how it fits. A few hours have passed and I've come to the decision that I can't make it work because it's too tight around my armpits, so I'll be returning it. The combination of the chest width and armhole makes the jacket a bit too uncomfortable for me to wear in the long run. A real shame because the measurements on TCB's website looked so promising!
I guess this works as a good warning for those wanting to purchase the jacket. If possible, don't go off the measurements on the TCB site, but rather contact Denimio's support and ask for them to measure the jacket for you. It's more than likely that the chest will be quite a bit smaller than what you'd expect (although this is only from two peoples' accounts).
Hopefully I'm not turning people off from buying this jacket because the fabric is really rather beautiful! It's dark, and the hairiness and slub is subtle and not overly pronounced. Just double check yo' size if you can't try before you buy! =)

I just received my one-wash version of the '30s Jacket. I have to agree with @volvo240thebestthat the measurements aren't accurate on the TCB website... Not sure if Inoue-san needs a new measuring tape lol (no disrespect)
TCB '30s Jacket OW size 40
Pit-to-pit 47.5cm
Shoulder-to-shoulder 45cm
Sleeve 61.5cm
Armhole 21.5cm
Centre back 63.5cm
The chest measurement is what shocked me most as my real chest is like 101cm. The only way I could make it match the measurement on the TCB website was by buttoning the jacket up and stretching/expanding the chest so that the front and back pleats were being put into use. I find that to be a weird way to measure the chest if that is how it was done because while the jacket may be able to accommodate a larger chest, it would look kinda ridiculous if you're busting at the seams. In an ideal world, if the sleeve and centre back measurements were swapped then it would probably be a nicer fit. Armholes are also a bit tight, but I'm not too fussed... I'm feeling like the armpits may experience a lot of friction so whatever white T-shirts I wear will feel the indigo wrath. Biceps are tighter than what I am used to for a jacket, but not uncomfortable. If for some reason I don't end up liking the fit over the next couple of weeks then I'll throw it on the market.
I'll see if I can post some pics over the next week. The denim is quite dark even though it is the one-wash version, and I quite like the seam puckering of the T-back and chest. I did notice that the buttons a really shiny and hopefully they will become duller over time. If I like the gradual evo over the next few months then maybe I'll have to look into the '20s contest.

Oh yeah, I was meant to provide some post-wash measurements so that people can have an idea of the expected shrinkage for the D1723 in size 30.
Pre-wash -> Post-wash
Waist 41cm -> 39.5cm
Front rise 28.5cm -> 27.5cm
Back rise 39.5cm -> 40cm
Thigh 31.5cm -> 31cm
Knee 23.5cm -> 22.5cm
Hem 22cm -> 21cm
Inseam 93cm -> 89cm
You'll probably notice that the back rise measurement has increased... I'm pretty sure I measured it correctly prior to washing, but not too sure. Has anyone experienced a back rise that has increased with wear or have I definitely written down the wrong thing lol

Heads up for Aussie denim folks: Godspeed will be the official stockist of The Real McCoy!
This is yuuuuuuge.
Eyyy, I still remember talking about RMC and you mentioning some potential accounts that were being opened. Hopefully they carry the good stuff. (Or at least what I consider good haha!)

Someone get me some popcorn. Jesus Christ. You don't need to compete with others in regards to how big your wardrobe is... Nor do you have to have multiple clothing items to post on the WAYWT thread. Personally, I don't care if you wear the same shit every day. I pretty much do, which is why I feel like I don't need to post here very often. However, (like others have pointed out) some of us do post very similar outfits each time. I don't find them monotonous because there's usually a different setting/background, and I believe you could do the same to change it up a little.
I also don't think people appreciate you making assumptions about their spending habits and labelling them as such. No votes need to be cast as to whether you should stay or not, nor do I think anyone "sticking-up" for you will suddenly alter our opinions. Can we just stick to talking about things relevant to denim and not post for the sake of posting?

I think @mrman is referring to the idea of "quality over quantity", but he doesn't mean for it to come across in a way that you should feel unwelcome... Also, I'm not sure who you're referring to as these "trust fund babies"?

Ahoy there, apologies for not posting these earlier, but I was finally able to take some fit pics of my D1723. For reference, I'm approximately 170cm/70kg and I'm wearing a size 30 that has been machine washed. Also featuring is the B-83 belt. These are self timer phone pics taken using a Nike shoebox and window sill as a makeshift tripod lol
I really like this fit. I've got room in the seat, thighs, knee and calf areas which makes them comfortable to walk/sit in. The waist is a tad large, but I'm not fussed because I wear a belt 95% of the time (weight-gain friendly too I guess). I plan on keeping the length and not hemming them because I quite like it this way! Fabric-wise, these pictures don't do any justice, so I'll take some detail pics in the near future.

I think this belongs here: http://www.highsnobiety.com/2017/04/11/jeans-customize-levis-antihill-workshop/
This is Ant from Anthill Workshop in Melbourne. He does denim customisations and repairs, and you can find him at Pickings & Parry or the Melbourne Central Levi's store. He's a genuine guy who loves what he does and he's really excellent at it. I've gotten my jeans repaired by him in the past, and I believe I've seen @mikecch get his jeans tapered there.
His Instagram is @anthill.workshop, which you can check out!

@Max Power That's very true. I think I'll order the one-wash version of the '30s jacket instead of nuking it in the washing machine/dryer.

Given the option, do you guys usually choose the one-wash or raw version when it comes to jackets?

@Mojique I'm very sure that the shirt is IH and the jeans are Fullcount. You can tell because he has the model numbers there. Any reason why you believe he should wear boots because sneakers are absolutely fine to wear...

Yeah, but apart from that...
To be honest, I couldn't tell you a redeeming feature... I mean, the rivets, thread choice and SPI are doing no visual favours. Even the fact that it's denim can't save it. The comments are cringe-worthy as well.
I haven't delved into any sort of pattern making myself, but I don't think his explanation of the yoke's design makes much sense to me. Isn't a wider yoke typically implemented to produce a more drop crotch look rather than to give it a higher rise? The fact that he mentions a 16" back rise on a 35" waist is "pretty high" is kinda garbage. Straight up, I can tell you that I have jeans with a 15.5" back rise and 11.5" front rise for my 31" waist, and they look nothing like that Frankenstein jean. If you take Dawson Denim's Wide Leg Jeans as an example, their 30" waist supposedly has a 13.4" front rise and 17.3" back rise, and they don't have that large amount of excess fabric.
Also, at $280 (which is a price that has already been heavily discounted), it is not worth it. This looks like an experiment gone wrong.

So, I feel like these belong here. Everything just looks really, really bad.
Maybe I'm being too judgmental, who knows. Photos in the link below...
https://www.reddit.com/r/rawdenim/comments/649fw7/received_my_order_from_pedestrian_denim_and_i/I agree that these jeans look rather horrible. I feel bad for saying this, but they're just really... ugly. I'm not a fan of the awkward-looking yoke, how the front pockets are shaped, how the coin and back pocket openings are narrow then widen, the garishly taped seams, the selvedge belt loop + the rivet, the coin pocket pull tab, and those hidden "arcuates". I think I named most of details that make these jeans "special", but I guess it's just not my taste at all. I wouldn't get these, but the guy seems to like the jeans. To each his own.

@Flash Hiya, the one that I have is a size 30/34, but I'm not 100% sure about the measurements (currently not home). And yeah, I believe they're based on the 1922 cut.
@Geeman Hello mate, they haven't really seen the light of day since late 2015, so I had to search my email to see which size I bought lol Anyways, they're a size 31/36.

Has anyone checked out the Heller's Cafe HC-1910 jacket? It came up on the Warehouse Instagram page and despite the low res picture, it looked rather neppy. I'm looking to get a type I jacket and have been tossing up between multiple designs including the HC-036, One Piece of Rock M-WW2, etc. I'm pretty set on the fact that I would like a jacket that is sans pocket flap. I'm just waiting to see if they post measurements on their website to see if it's suitable.

Who has seen these Vetements X Levi's jeans with the crazy zips? If you haven't, then here's a look... They are approximately USD2000. A part of me thinks they are cool in a fashion-forward kind of way, and I can see people that are into streetwear rocking them at certain trade/fashion shows (think Highsnobiety/Hypebeast type of shots). They remind me of Adidas poppers lol
