  1. I saw this watch ages ago and really loved the look of the face but it disappeared before I could look into it and then recently it popped up on eBay so I went for it.

Really happy but the strap could be a bit longer.

I’ve paired it up with 2 other recent purchases: Pikes Brothers wabash shirt I got from American Classics and Warehouse denim I picked up from Clutch-cafe, both in London:

  2. Went into American Classics on Endell Street yesterday as I had some time before my next job and walked away with this Pike Brothers Wabash shirt in an extra large. Haven’t been there in ages so this was a nice surprise:

this is closer to its true look and colour

superb fit ! are those warehouse 1001 ?

Thank you and yes you're spot on, freaked me out when I gave them an initial soak as the inseam shrunk a lot! But through wearing them they relaxed a lot too. Plus cuffing them shorter helped in the hot weather.

  4. @julian-wolf I’m sure your right, I’ve not known any inseams to have “grown” either. I think I’m just trying to talk myself into buying them, the pockets  remind me of Stevenson and from other pictures on the internet the fabric look a bit like banner denim. I personally I don’t have much luck finding good deals online, especially in size 36. I guess I could try loosing some weight, but...

  5. I've seen a pair of Heller's Cafe jeans going on line at a good price. The waist is a 36, which is great but I worried about the inseam, which is a 32. I prefer 34 or a 33 minimum. The pair are one wash but does anyone know how likely are they stretch out? I have a pair of 1001 that shrunk massively when I soaked them especially in the leg but with daily wear they have grown to an inseam of 33, which when I cuff and wear with high tops they look good, if a little on the trendy side.

  6. I've been following this thread for a while, I don't own any pairs but I like the look of their denim and a contest would be a fantastic excuse to get a pair (to add to the growing pile of partially worn jeans) and a good reason to stick to one pair to get some descent fades! If the 02 are more tapered then I think it would prefer the 01...

I'm a 31 and I undersized to 29 and eventually they stretched out, basically they ended up a skinny fit but pretty uncomfortable for awhile.I wish I would have gotten my normal size or 1 size up, at Hinoya they originally recommended size 31 or 32 for me. But that was 10 years ago, I would search recent posts, sometimes Japanese brands recently will taper the waist inward because Japanese people are way skinnier with narrower hips, and the waistband measures less than the hip width (If that makes any sense) so recently when I went to Hinoya I was having to wear 33,34, even 35-36 in a lot of brands, even Iron Heart (I'm US size 31). So definitely search recently posts unless you get the option to return them.

They are beautiful and have lasted for years with no crotch bust, they are really utilitarian and rugged and my more expensive jeans have busted years earlier. They are really streaky from the natural fiber and look really from the 1940's or something now, and have faded 10x better than all my other jeans. Sugar Cane is top notch and at the top of my list and they are way cheaper than  Momotaro, PBJ, Denime, etc. which I've tried. Those are kind of marketing/trend heavy brands but Sugar Cane is the real deal.

Cheers @brainmonster, I did go true to size with a 36 in the SC40301 14OZ RYUKYU INDIGO MIXED SUGAR CANE DENIM, and I'm definitely glad I did as they a re a little sung but still comfortable and a very good length in the leg (34 minimum). I'll get some fit picks up soon, basically I see them as my motivational trousers to keep me on the right side of a 36 waist. It can be done!

  8. @dudewuttheheck awesome jacket mate.

Weather is still quite cool in the mornings before I have to start peeling off the layers.

The only consistency in my get up are the Warehouse 1001. The turnups get higher and higher as the temperature does...
