I did end up winning the BnB’s for the minimum bid. More than I wanted to spend but again, a grail pair for me(seems unlikely I’d ever find a unworn pair in my size again). I’ll post pics upon arrival.

@chicote I’m going to bid on those BnB. A grail pair for me though a little more $$ than I’d like to spend at the moment. Oh well.

My pair has been at the usps regional facility without movement for 3+ days. The last 35 miles of shipping have now taken more time than the first 1200. Guess it’s not entirely unusual for usps tracking to not update until the package is delivered. Keeping my fingers crossed that they show up!

Already got a shipping notice. Pretty quick!
Roy’s cuts that I have all fit differently of course, but they all fit me really well and are comfortable. Even the slimmer cuts still have plenty of room from my perspective.

copped a 33... I'm weak...
Same... different size tho. Site was very slow for me too, but went through eventually. Don’t give up hope!

Wear day 61 for me today. One initial hot soak. At the point where I’m starting to see some lighter blues coming through but they’re difficult to capture. Except for where my knife is rubbing!
Only annoyance is the stitching around the top two button holes is coming out on the top side only so far. Imagine that could be an issue at some point. Future problem...
Hope you are all happy and healthy!

I have a not exceptionally popular job (in the us) at this point. Yesterday we got a call about a person shoplifting from a thrift store. They said he stole jeans.
We found the guy- his name was Levi Lee (Last name). The irony!

@andrewrose Beautiful! Is this Colorado?
Yes, closest town is Lyons. A little bit north of Boulder.

@buler did some lumber jacking myself today, though prefer the old fashioned way. Much lighter and less ppe to carry along. Tracked 12 miles and 2700 ft of gain. Phew!
I visited peak 7790 as well. I have now completed the grid on this one- one ascent in each calendar month. Much easier this time of year vs in winter.

Didn’t wear them much today as I was out enjoying some time in the mountains here in Colorado. I was attempting a reversal of a high alpine route called mummy kill, in which one ascends the 6 main peaks of the Mummy Range in Rocky Mountain National Park. I’ve been injured most of the summer so no surprise I was moving too slowly to get it all done to get home by the time I needed to.
photo 1- the dog boulder, an important landmark to find the unofficial trail up and down. Longs Peak is immediately to the right of it. It’s the northern most 14000+ foot peak in the state.2- looking down to Lawn Lake. This lake was dammed to provide water for farmers down stream. The dam failed in 1982, killing three people and causing a huge amount of damage. This was the impetus for the park service to remove dams that were on other lakes within the park.

Yours are a long way off chart around the top block where it’s more critical - frankly this isn’t acceptable. I’d been optimistic about things despite earlier measurements being posted but the groundswell I’m reading is that there is an issue. I’ve still to receive mine, so I’ll wait until they arrive however I don’t have a great deal of confidence right now and I’d like nothing better than to be proved wrong.
Is it possible they’ve all been tagged wrong in the rush to complete?
I wonder... my pair tagged 30 does match up a lot more with a 29.

I didn’t measure mine, just tried on to ensure they fit loose enough raw, seems as though they do. Here’s what I’m getting in a size 30 inches/cm.
waist - 15.5/39.2/78.4
thigh - 12.25/31
knee (13 in down) - 9.5/24
hem - 8.625/22
front rise - 13.625/34.7rear rise - 17.5/43.3
hip at bottom button - 19.3/49.5
at bottom of fly - 20.25/51.4
so, they are 3 cm smaller than the given waist measurement, 1.2 cm than thigh, .2 cm knee, slightly longer rise, hem almost exact.
This has also taught me that we should start using the metric system as I had to do math to figure out the decimal for 5/8 an inch, while I can just look at the measuring tape for cm.1 -
@nycsurfer530 no- my tracking info said no signature required as well.

@mpukas wow, crazy! I guess even after things are under control fire wise, it’ll be a bit before 70 opens up due to the damage to it. We’re in Longmont, so while none of the fires are near us, the smoke definitely is. I can smell it inside even.
The Cameron Peak fire hits close to home despite the distance. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the area over the years hiking and running. It’s sad to see an area I love burn. But I do like doing trail work, so it’ll be rewarding to hopefully have some part in clearing all the fallen trees and rebuilding.
@SuperJackle thanks for your service.
@el padre thank you.1 -

It's that time of year: California's on fire again
(photo sent by a friend, taken this afternoon near the farm I work for)
Same here in Colorado. Currently have the second largest fire burning ever recorded in state, only seven percent contained. The others are smaller so far, but with even less containment. Pretty sad.

Agree, keep em coming!

Ah, gotcha. That makes sense then.

@Suitedupmon where did you get those from? I got a pair of the same off eBay recently and when I posted, others said the red tab was quite rare and hadn’t been made since ~2008. Two bnwt pairs in a month?

I’m surprised that SE got on board with selling them. It’s very cool, but seems a bit risky.
Same here, especially with The Company whose name I shan’t mention being particularly litigious.

This seemed like the best thread for this nonsense-
I got my first dose of the Moderna COVID vaccine today. I am a first responder, which is why I was able to get it so soon despite being a healthy 40 year old. I briefly went back and forth on if I should or not, but with some more research, the science seems sound. I guess I do have some concern about possible long term side effects, but I have the same concerns about COVID itself, and I’d (much) rather get the vaccine than get sick. I am in the US, so it seems like getting sick is sadly the eventual reality.
I was hoping for Pfizer over Moderna, as the dose administered is much lower, but oh well. They are .5% away from each other in efficacy. So far only some soreness in the injection area, like with any intramuscular shot. The vaccine is clear in color; I am a cancer survivor and fortunately read up ahead of time on the drugs I was to get. It was still a bit of a shock to see .5l of koolaid red liquid go into my body! I think people expect drugs to be colorless, and it would probably be more difficult to convince people it’s safe if it were black or green or something.
Thanks for reading sufu. I’ll update in the next few days. Any questions, please feel free to ask and I’ll get back as I can.
