Man, I was hoping for a slimmer cut like the 800. Probably wouldn’t have been an option given the the new denim.

Agree. The fuller cuts look great on so many of you, but rather dumpy on my skinny butt. Still voted though not sure if I will participate in the end.

  2. Another possible part of the puzzle- if you’ve paid already, and not gotten the goods promised on the time frame promised, you really have no recourse. It’s civil, not criminal. You’d have to take him to court to recoup anything. If you’re out of state from him, that could be difficult if not impossible to do and maybe cost more to do than you paid In the first place. Even in state, the cost probably exceeds that of the price originally paid.

  3. I like the green contest because I wouldn’t have to buy anything and money is a little tight at the moment- baby arriving end of February. But I can see the arguments against.

Roy would be my choice otherwise if he’s willing. I’d save up for those!

Love Roy and would love to have another pair but cant do 415. Oofta

Yeah, I’ve wondered if the pricing is higher via self edge vs him selling direct? Understandable because SE can’t sell for zero profit. Probably easier for Roy to do, no shipping/hemming/etc to be done.

  5. Here are my three most worn hats.

Salomon mountains is most often worn trail running, but occasionally around.

The red Fox’s Market hat has a sentimental story. My grandfather worked at that business in Middletown, Pennsylvania, where my dad grew up. The market has since been purchased and is now called something else. He died in 1986, and gave this hat to me sometime before then. I don’t really remember much of him because I was so young when he passed, but it’s nice to think of him and my grandmother when I wear it.

And last, Ouray Ultras. Earned at the 2018 Ouray 100 mile ultramarathon. Earned as in you get the hat just from signing up, but I finished the race, placing 14th in just under 46 hours. I wear it with pride frequently in real life, for trail running, hiking, adventuring, and so on.

I love hoka running shoes, i guess their hiking shoes are just equally as good.

I just got a pair of the Mafate evo 2. Pretty cool shoe. First run was a route I do at least once a year, and set prs all around, round trip was 45 min faster than last year. Uppers are woven Kevlar, so should wear well and are impossible to get wet, though my socks did inside from the bit of runoff encountered here and there.

Anyway, if anyone runs trails, I found them pretty darn good. I’ve found some of their other models to be too narrow, but these are wider. Photo from run.

    yeah. go for it

Ok, so wife found these at a vintage shop recently. From what we can find, these are 60’s to 70’s era. They look to be in remarkably good shape. Any info?

Edit: are bell bottoms, sans rivets or selvedge line.
