It's all coming together now, it makes so much sense...

Alright, now I'm convinced this brand is just some capital investment brain trust concept trying to market shit to wealthy tech-bros.
Thanks, I hate it.7 -
Sorry, but what in the world is this marketing mumbo jumbo...
QuoteBut, dear reader, here is where the enchantment takes flight. We breathed life into these jeans through the artistry of aging, each pair murmuring tales of adventures etched in the tapestry of existence, and dreams pursued with unwavering determination. These are more than just jeans; they echo a life lived, of uncharted journeys, the smoldering embers of your passions, and the essence of your very soul.
In our humble sanctuary, we pay tribute to an icon that reshaped the denim universe. These jeans transcend the realm of mere threads and stitches; they are an anthem to denim, a tribute to excellence, and a celebration of the untamed spirit residing within each of us.

I'm interested in some photos as well, I've worn a few pairs of FW over the last few years and I've never seen personally this happen.

Some pre-wash photos.
Nice color on the denim, undecided if I'll start wearing soon or hold off for a couple of months.
Buttons on this pair feel a bit nicer than the standard buttons.

All the waiting until they go live and then buy asap to get ahead of others. Just couldn’t be bothered.
Fortunately preordering from Barnstormer didn't require any queuing or navigating a swarm of fanboys fighting for a pair. Just a 6 month wait.
To be fair if I had FW in my backyard I probably wouldn't bother either!
I got my pair yesterday, will try to snap some photos today. Likely keeping them on ice for a bit while I continue to wear my 661xx.1 -

For a fashion related perspective have a look at something like Pitti Uomo ‘street style’ pics and commentary.
Why are they always carrying fucking bags around everywhere?! This always baffles me.
What are they lugging around, their laundry from the week? Or maybe they couldn't afford a hotel but had to make an appearance for the e x p o s u r e.
🤢
Great comparison btw. As we continue to circle the drain and get monetized by social media, everything will continue becoming more and more similar, less and less unique.

@irual thanks for sharing, they look good!
How did you size? And are they very difficult to get on and off?1 -

🤯 good job I was sitting down for this shocker
Told my wife this the other day and she was shocked.
I'm planning on keeping it in check again this year, only purchases being these OAs and the FW 42s in the spring.1 -

Ahhh the good ole days of Viberg before they went all modern and pointy lasted (last time I looked, at least) aligned to the narrow-hemmed crew
And back when all of their boots weren't $900+$45 shipping, the good ole' days.

Curious what 2045 boots you have. I’ve always liked the shape of those, but Viberg stopped using the last several years ago.
I have the roughout cxl boondockers that they used to make on that last. One of my favorite boot lasts, very comfortable. They’re long overdue for a resole, should probably find someone for that.

That's definitely true.

I also received notification that my pair arrived from Barnstormer, will post photos once they arrive.
Surprisingly this is the first new pair of jeans in exactly a year for me believe it or not.4 -
Nothing in my size but good luck!

I'm passing, but looking forward to seeing these once they arrive!

@Sympathy-For-The-Denim I don't think they're quite ready for sale yet, but keep an eye on these Instagram accounts for more updates soon.

The Gleem look nice, but again only go up to size 10.

If I know one thing it's how to get Duke going.
Honestly I think Skoob or Attractions is the way to go here. Their black horsehide looks nice.3 -
I'd just hold out for a pair of LIVE'S, 517 repro that will be a fraction of the cost...and likely more accurate repros.

What leather do you want?
Honestly, I'm not 100% sure. I probably know more of what I don't want than what I do.
I know we've discussed the "merits" of a lot of tea-core horsehide. I don't want something so exaggerated as this, I find these garish and over the top:
However I do want leather that go from this, a nice dark black:
To this after several years of wear:

@Broark What about a custom maker? Do you know Quan on IG. I think his work looks very nice. He's done some engineers:

These look nice, not a bad option! The leather looks very shiny though (honestly all his boots appear very shiny).

Yeesh, full payment up front and a 4+ year wait? I'm patient but I don't know about that...

Skoob got back to me. They can have a pair custom made for me with about a 6 month lead time.
Pricing is reasonable, ¥79,000 + shipping. These are in contention.
And Attractions has told me to reach out to a US retailer (S&S, SOP or Brogue). They have a large backlog for JP buyers so they aren't shipping the Lot 444 internationally.
Nothing wrong with that, might see if any of them have plans to order the Lot 444 in size 12 soon.1 -
I think I'm after a full length boot, either 9" or 11" in height.

Ideally I wouldn't mind waiting for a pair of Ol Shanks, but that seems like a pipe dream.
I think I'll either wait for a pair of Attractions in size 12 to pop up or another round of Clinch.
No response from anyone I've reached out to yet, but we'll see. I'm in no rush.0 -
I'd prefer horsehide (cxl doesn't do much for me) and I can't tell you the last time a size 11 fit my foot.
The smallest boot I wear is an 11.5 in the Viberg 2045 last which is quite full.0
Freewheelers, Bootleggers Reunion, Bubo, etc.

@Dr_Heech Yes I'll be getting the '42 tux, going with my usual w36 and size 46 on the jacket.
