My '42 506xx should be here Friday, I'll get some photos of it up as well as my other recent deliveries soon.

The vests are intriguing, never really been a vest guy but seeing them wear them they look cool.
A 507xx would be awesome.0 -
I've been eyeing the new bandana but I've held off due to the larger size.
I usually carry one of the Two Ears ones around in a back pocket during the summer to wipe away sweat.
Curious what jeans they had available for sale this past weekend @JohnM / @julian-wolf?0 -
@olmecasteve I don’t typically go this route, I’ve grown to like the sharp rivets. And they tend to dull a little over time, not as much as having them machined down but more subtly.
I’ve got quite a few bits headed my way from Seiichro, should post some photos here in the next couple days.

Couple of comparison shots of the 03s worn for a bit and the new 01s which have not been washed / worn yet.
The 01s use the same denim but the "A-grade" variant, so a little less irregular (not that the denim used on the 03s is very irregular to start with).
The 01s are on the left, the 03s are on the right.

@julian-wolf They’ll be at the Oakland location, Sunday the 28th from 11 to 5.
Let us know if you end up swinging by and getting anything!0 -

@Broark Were you in person @ Inspiration this year? or were they willing to take mail orders for those
No I didn't go to the event, Hudson Hill was helping them sell some pairs via Instagram. Not sure if they're all accounted for or not.
Sounds like they'll have some jeans for sale at S&S this upcoming weekend. Hudson Hill told me they had these 01s and some 03s
Interested to see what's available at S&S this weekend if anyone makes it out there!1 -

Inspiration 01s just arrived, will get some photos up comparing them to the 03s.

@shredwin_206 Should have it in the next week or so, will take some comparison shots.
I was under the impression that it was the same denim, but I also haven't explicitly asked that question either.1 -
Echoing Duke's sentiments, I've washed my S601xx a ton and the S506xx a few times and haven't noticed much continued shrinkage.

1942 506xx landing at stores now, featuring a nicely faded tab.

@beautiful_FrEaK yes they made a type 2, it was several years ago now (the post I found was from 2017).
I think they made it for one of their Japanese retailers Commono Reproducts (which seems like is no longer in business), not many were available.
Would love if they made a traditional type 1 / 2 someday.

What changed?
I think this design is a lot more understated and not flashy at all.
I used to exclusively think of Rick Owens from the goth-ninja perspective. Guys like this.

@Maynard Friedman Maybe...just don't tell my wife.

@MJF9 Very hefty and well made, they feel much more like a shoe / boot as opposed to a sneaker.

Something completely out of left field. Swung by the new Self Edge Austin location last weekend for their opening day and picked up a pair of Rick Owens sneakers.
If you would've asked me 5 years ago if I would wear Rick Owens I probably would've laughed at you.

I might or might not have gotten a pair of 01s.

Be there or be square! I'll be there, hope to see some sufu peeps roll through.

Yup $800 is the threshold. I feel like I've just gotten lucky, I've never explicitly requested lower invoice prices from any shops.

Maybe I'm lucky but I've never been stung by US customs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Y'all aren't wrong, let's see what I can whip up in the next couple of days.
Found some cheap flights April 15th - 25th. More to come.7 -

do some travelling...
I've been tossing around the idea of a last minute solo trip to Japan, not sure if it's the best financial decision ever but would be the trip of a lifetime...

Last idea is if you’ve got any space where you live, rip up (part of?) your lawn and plant native plants or pollinators. That’s an easy enough and rewarding hobby for sure.
Not a bad idea, we actually recently cleaned out some beds in our backyard for this exact purpose. We’re renting our place so not entirely sure how much we can do, but might clear out some more. It’s very rewarding!

Hope y'all have been doing well, been a bit busy lately as I was interviewing and landed a new job!
I turned in my notice last week and my boss (of almost 6 years) told me to hit the road so now I've got a bunch of time on my hands until my start date.
Any hobbies I should pick up in the next month?9
