Yup that's correct, same denim. I think the new 42s seem a bit more blue though. I haven't worn the new tux much (been wearing the WoM  jeans), but I'll try to get some photos soon.
I did some comparison shots last year of the 37, 42 and 45 variants: 

@indigoeagle good spot, nice looking pair of 30s jeans there. I wonder why Ono has been outsourcing his work lately. Maybe he wasn’t too keen on all the logistics of the direct to consumer model.

None on my pair either, but both pocket bags have selvedge IDs.

I've always found Flower Mountain sneakers kinda interesting, but they just feel a bit busy for my tastes.
Honestly they look better with some wear compared to the product photos.

I’ll try to measure the new one before and after a wash, the only experience I have with the midweight sweat fabric is the black one from last year with the pocket. I didn’t find that it shrunk more than any of my heavyweights.

I think I'm going to try them out too, the singular back pocket on the right hand side is really going to mess with me. I'm left handed and keep my wallet in the back left pocket.

I just really don’t need any more jeans at the moment. Unless someone wants to buy one or two of my pairs.  

I actually reached out to 2nd to possibly buy a pair of S2000HX, but then I thought better of it.

@jkbrwn I’ve always wanted to try those out, I’d be interested in your thoughts once you get them in. I wear Birks a lot during the summer and these seem like they’d be a good change of pace.

Totally agree, jjjjound is one of the worst culprits of this. Sure, some of the NB colorways they come up with are nice, but nothing is worth paying three or four times the retail price.
With the way NB has been doing releases the last few years you’re more likely to find another very similar color (minus the branding, whatever will one do without it?!) on sale by the end of the season anyways.
