  1. No, it's kind of the opposite. Something like where the bottom third of the pocket down to just below, the pattern doesn't remove enough fabric from the seat between the pocket and back rise seam if that makes sense. I am not a pattern maker, so the solution is above my paygrade. I just noticed it's a bit unflattering between the pockets and below on the seat for quite a few of us. Thankfully not hungry bum though. Well, I don't think I've seen bF's back shots yet...
  2. They shrank perfectly. -3" in the waist to a 32" waist. Leg opening came down to 8.5" from 9". There's a bit of a pattern issue in the seat shape and pockets as I've seen in others' photos as well as my fit, but nothing that ruins the fit. Just a little pattern issue that could be addressed going forward with WoM. Edit: pocket bags are also ~1" too shallow for my liking. Again, small issue, but worth noting.
  3. This fabric definitely feels a little thinner between the fingers than your banner denims in upper 13oz to 14oz range. It's a bit smoother than maybe I had expected. Still has good texture, but a fairly even and consistent hand. No real hairiness raw, though some of the post wash/soak pics look like that opens up a bit with water. I always wash with softener so we'll see how they feel and look out of a wash and tumble in about an hour.
  4. WomCon and LeRoy ready for a soak in the suds.
  5. I'm going to wash and tumble like always. Realistically looking at Sunday afternoon as the earliest I can make it to the laundromat to get started.
  6. Raw fit pics as encouraged. They may end up just right without needing any alterations. The waist is coming up 35" so minus ~2.5" after wash and tumble and they should be perfect for how I like them. If the waist shrinks less, I may get them adjusted.
  7. Mine arrived yesterday. Got to check them out today. Delightfully sloppy. Sufficiently oversized. Sam at S&S pinching the waist and seat after wash? TBD.
  8. ^This^ Wishing well to all the LA folks while the firefighters et al do their work to try to contain this fire. Stay safe.
  9. Oh, I wasn't actually planning on wearing them. I just wanted to add them to my "How Many Pairs" thread list.
  10. That looks to me like the tongue on the left (right shoe) is just twisting leftward creating the appearance of a sharper point. Not saying they're perfect, but I believe the photo is distorting the shape significantly.

I have been around the denim, menswear and contemporary fashion world for way too long and my notion of "expensive" is so distorted. Haha. $350-$450 for their raw or rinsed jeans seems totally pedestrian to me and thanks to you lot, I'm having to fight the urge to go visit their NYC shop. I've wanted a pair since first seeing them on a Jean Shop client circa 2008/2009.
  12. Happy holidays, folks. Drake's/Drake's/Mister Freedom/Roy/Sebago
  13. Love to see all these well-worn pairs of jeans on a single page. Keep it up, fellas.
  14. Hmm, could be a fun challenge to list. I've given away twice as many jeans as I own currently - 16. 15. That's my understanding. Nothing more to it than a play on 501 and a nod to EVH.
  16. 🤣Apologies are in order to you as well it seems. My sincerest.

  18. @blooming, I don't think this patch was very shriveled to begin with. If anything, it's a little tighter at the edges now than when new. But yes, lovely leather aging on the patch.
  19. @MJF9, looks great! Would love to see it with an Oxford and colorful Shetland. Give a bright, contrasted background in both color and texture.
  20. The Red Wing 9060 Flatbox in a teacore black is one of the absolute best bang for buck boots out there. It has style elements of boots twice and three times its price, MiUSA and a generally good fit. I wanted a pair badly back in 2017/2018 when they were a Japan exclusive. No need for them now as I have the Lofgren M-43 in black, but had these been available in the US for $400 back then, I would have been all over it.
