  1. haha, im one of those who thinks its boring.  for the record, its only boring when new.  once you get past that point of it being rather standard it clearly starts to produce, as shown here.    But thats my opinion.  I tend to like imperfections in denim.

  2. only time i tumble dried was when the pocket bags were still damp from hanging to dry over night.

RE: reverse lenses for macro.  Thats a relatively cheap and easy way to get macro shots but in my experience, it never quite reaches the quality a true macro lens gets.  Flash is essential for most macro work, and it is tricky to get it to look like you didnt use a flash.  Its essential to get the flash off the lens axis, aka off the hot shoe and to diffuse the light to soften it up.

This is not my macro lens, but it shows off camera flash and a diffuser I use.  its a fun world of photography to experiment with!

  3. Took some macro shots the other day.

Decided to get artsy fartsy on the second one :)

Gear specs for those who give a shit:

    Canon 6D

    Tamron 90mm 2.8 VC

    LumoPro LP180 flash

    Kirk Enterprises macro flash bracket

    Lightroom CC

One thing I have been experimenting with lately is image stacking.  You can do it in photoshop, but there are better ($$) programs out there for it like Zerene.  Basically take multiple images at different focal points and stack them so everything is in focus.  When shooting macro, especially at 1:1 magnification, even at f11 the depth of field is as you can see, not much.

  4. hows the quality of the stitching?  Right when I got my Whites it seemed there was more and more shitty stitch jobs coming out of their shop.  Might have been the 1000% increase in interest in their boots thanks to the workwear craze so I am wondering how they have managed.

  5. i'd probably be interested in this.  My OA02's dont fit anymore (comfortably at least) .  To be honest, I find OOE;s denim boring.  Its too soft, almost clinical in its texture and appearance.  I would need another contest to maintain interest.  FWIW I do think they look great faded.

  6. all jokes aside, have some humility.  you acted like an ass and got called out for it.  we all can forgive and forget.  in the big scheme of things, be concerned that Ed isnt dealing with some heavy life stuff, not if he left an internet forum hanging.

  7. Family man or not, business man or not, it is lame to drum up support for a project, get a bunch of people on board and then not bother to post anything at all for three months.  Nobody is that busy.  Sorry. Ed has not earned my respect.

get the fuck out of here.  life> jeans.  chill out

  8. All items have been worn.  The SDA's were worn for a few months off and on before I realized the fit wasnt right.  There are early signs of fading but not much.  The FH shirt is practically new.  The IH's have been worn pretty hard but still have tons of life left.
