yea, gotta over expose a bit.  I usually struggle to get decent denim pics for some reason.  

^Don't want to be embarrassed with my TCB's! They're relegated to housework/chore wear since they don't fit loose enough in the waist for daily wear, but still are miles apart from others more active in the contest. It was the rise that did me in! 

 

Nonetheless, glad to hear the denim project pair worked out for you tv shooter! Underrated for sure...

is the rise too high for you?  

aside from my pair not fitting as well as they used to, I never found the denim to be that interesting.  yea, i didnt get that far with them, but the fact that they were so soft in their raw state just seemed odd to me.  construction-wise, they are beautiful, very well executed.  But I admittedly like rough, odd denim like sugarcane's 50/50 cotton sugarcane and the irregularities it has.  even the TCB denim starts to show its irregularity the more they fade.  so yea I wouldnt mind a newly designed denim from OOE.  maybe something a touch heavier (not by much!) with more character (slubs, chatter etc...)

im just tired of this trend of packing as much hops as possible into a beer, just for bragging rights.  Im not up on the craft beer scene much, but this was the trend a few years ago and it was disgusting.  If everything is balanced, so be it.  but a shit load of hops and a shit load of alcohol just tastes bad to me.  

i cant drink IPA's anymore, mostly because of the uber alcohol and the hops sledgehammer that gets shoved down your throat.  When they leave an after taste of a skunk in your mouth, there's too much hops.

My tagged 32 0105xx measure as follows.  This is straight out of the wash, but I worked the waist as I went through a bloated phase and all the waists on all my jeans were tight.  I sagged them and stretched them. So all measurements are as-is, except the waist which has been worked.  

W: 34  (straight out of wash its usually somewhere around 32 to 32.5)

Front Rise: 11.5

Thigh, BiG style: just under 13" but not by much.  

yea, its weird.  Whats also weird is that three denim retailers (SE, BiG and NoKipple) all measure their jeans differently, notably the thigh.  

I can if you give me a couple days.  Im about a 34" these days and my 0105xx's are a tagged 32.  Its a bit tight when washed a hung to dry but they stretch out..

Actually that's the one Detail that I would think will annoy me the least. The Gold top button and the weird arcs are worse IMO.

i could live with the gold top button, even grow to like it.  But those thick, ropey arcs, no fucking way.  bad choice if you ask me.

oh man that looks so good.  My wife has been in Europe for work (Paris, Freiburg, Zurich and now Madrid) for two weeks and Im at home on dad duty.  To top it off, we started our foundation replacement three days after she left.  Our house is basically balanced on jenga blocks.  I'll get some pics up but its pretty amazing what they can do...

I just do it for the chicks and the fame.

yeah , dont plan on any jeans purchases for a long time ( lots of baby stuff to buy ) ... guess thats why i regret not buying a pair so far

^For me, it's about the subtlety and dedication required for the OAXX denim; that, and they're the only jeans that fit me comfortably lol

 

I've compared the fabric to my actual vintage 47' era Levi's and I still stand by that. I owe flash a picture (my sincere bad mate!); hopefully I'll have good light this weekend!

Did you out fat the TCB's?  My Samurai 710 (upsized) and TCB's are the only jeans that are comfortable for me at this point haha

yea, my 0105xx are still very dark in the non wear area's.  

nice.  Ive out fatted my OOE's unfortunately.  While the construction is second to none, and the faded samples I have seen are great, the excitement for the denim kind of tapered off and never really came back for me.
