  1. Ima bit drunk so I hope I can make sense of this.  For me, I look for details that are not visible to others, but for me to be aware of when wearing.  This usually means jeans that fly under the radar visually, but excite me because of some geek factor.  Example, the denim on the OOE contest jeans.  Someone looks at them and see's a dark pair of jeans.  But I know that they are LHT, and only a small amount exist in the entire world and that my name is on the patch.  Or the feeling of putting my hands in the sashiko pocketbags of my SC Oki's.

Fit-wise, I dont want to fuck around.  I want to wear jeans.  Im too old to battle the fit. I know the dimensions of my legs so I buy a cut accordinlgy.

  2. Thank you guys for the input!. One more thing, is it better to stack it, small cuff but hem first until there's no stack left, or small cuff and stack?

i think a hem that allows a .5" cuff with little to no break on a low-top Converse would look good with those jeans.

  3. sorry gnome! fat fingered neg rep!

Thats it, Im starting a competing renaissance flute band this side of the Atlantic.

But I do agree, nobody hems TCB like TCB!  The tightest, most ropey hem I have ever seen.

  4. Sorry for the bad quality of the photo.

Myself with my brand new 50s jeans & 50s jacket and JaredLee with his contest 50s Jeans

edit: I'm also planning on getting a serious hem. Looking for single cuff and no to very little break

great fit.  a proper hem will make it all come together.  you'll like these jeans

another cool detail i like is the chain stitch used inside the jeans. He uses the two different colored threads for the stitch

crazy seeing those new, how dark and crispy they are.  They turn to sweatpants after some serious wear haha

  6. yes, but the thigh, according to BiG might be a tad small for me.  a tagged 34 shows a thigh measurement of 12.75.  I would prefer a 13 or 13.25.

  7. Ouch....came out blurry when I uploaded...

its a shame the fit didnt agree with you Aho, as these jeans would have loved your frequent wear/wash regimin.  You can tell how nice and textured they are at this point

  8. Hi Guys, I have no experience with reheeling and resoling welted shoes so I have some questions. I disproportionately wear down the heel much more than the other parts of my soles. I had my boots Topy's when new and the rubber layers are still thick after a several months of wear. Now the heels, I already wore it down a couple of layers. I have placed and worn down heel taps twice and am wondering, would just replacing two layers of the heels be possible? Is it usually a hard job for cobblers? What do you guys usually do?

if i understand correctly, you are asking if a cobbler can address and fix worn heels instead of the entire sole?  If so, yes, any competent cobbler should be able to address this and fix accordingly

  9. And some people ride cause they a motha fucking gangster better ask somebody
