I sometimes make my children wait a couple of hours for fish fingers at home, in order to give my 'cuisine' an air of exclusivity and subsequent desirability.
Chez Maynard (pronounced Maynahr) dishes are conceived and created, not just nuked in the microwave.

WTB: RIGHT POCKET BAG W/SELVEDGE ID
2 -
next up, trading pocket bags for the complete set

hmmm, wonder if a pair made it out with both bags showing selvedge?
check your bags fella's. And by bags, I mean pocket bags

my guess is deerskin or goatskin. It feel a lot like Warehouse patches.
My selvedge pocket bag is the left pocket (my left)

This is just my opinion, but aperture priority kinda sucks when street shooting using a camera with a center weighted spot meter and a fixed ASA/ISO like film. It will often take a reading off some dark area and give you too slow of a shutter speed.

Anyone experienced an issue like this on Alden?
I just got these today and didn't notice that imperfection until I got home. They are a b-width shoe so replacing them would be a pretty long wait :/
honestly, as annoying as it is thats pretty mild compared to some of the bullshit Alden puts out. I love my Indy's but Alden QC seems to miss a lot of slop.

Oakstreet bootmakers ang thoughts their crap right?
I have handled (not worn or owned) the trenchboot and it seems well made and decent. I dont think its worth what they ask for it. The trail oxfords I have are comfortable but they use a fake welt to look like a stitch down construction, when they are standard mocc construction. Not a huge deal in the big scheme of things but they were very evasive when I asked about it and they did an awful job fixing the fake welt when it came unglued. I mean a terrible job. I personally think they are riding the heritage craze and at the end of the day, nothing special.

haha, I'll find myself in some old threads from time to time and Im like, where did I just end up? How did I get here? Some people would shit their pants because a single guy from Japan would show up in the thread and share his experience. Suddenly he was a resource to be coveted

Mine have seen three washes already but I might hold off since the whiskers are settling in.
Re: cameras, I'm on an X70 and find the lack of VF kind of refreshing, especially with the style of shooting on this camera. Not for the purists for sure but as it goes, the best camera is the camera you have on you!
most people using the x70 say the same thing regarding not missing the VF. Im just old school, and therefore very hard to me to budge from my corner. Also, my style tends to be very fast, so there are times where I raise the camera to my face but I never even look through the VF. I associate the LCD screen with landscape shooting, and zooming in 10X to get focus. TL;DR, get off my lawn!!

oh yea, that texture looks great, right up my alley

i dont know of any Viberg dealers here in SF. Standard and Strange used to carry them, but I dont see them in store anymore so not sure if they are waiting on inventory or if they scrapped them. Of course, I could be unaware of a dealer so yea...

i have strong opinions about digital Leica. If money isn't an issue, go hard. But due to digital rot/life cycle of digital, I dont see the point in paying so much for a body unless you are absolutely married to the rangefinder game. I shoot my Fuji x100T like I shoot my M6. I zone focus and hyperfocus. Its not as enjoyable but it works.

nice. finally someone who uses a GR with a viewfinder instead of the goddamn LCD.

i have had a medium duffle for almost 20 years now and that was one of the reasons I ended up getting the standard briefcase. Never liked how it just hung limply (thats what she said - in before Maynard) from the shoulder.
Those Fogg bags are nice. When I fall down the camera bag rabbit hole every couple years those come up.

Got it, the only thing that irritates me about buying direct is that they don't under value the package. So HM Customs and Parcel Force get to charge me an extra £50 for the jeans......looks like I'll just buy from BiG.
send them to me and Ill forward them and mark them as fucking $10 wranglers

the behind the scenes isnt as glamorous. Stiff arming my daughter to stay out of the frame as she seems to think every time I take pics of jeans its a game and an an invitation to lay in the middle of the situation haha. For every jeans pic I have taken, theres one or two of her laying on top of them

all jokes aside, fuck that wait. Maybe Im old and grouchy but I will not wait more than 45 minutes for a table (i'll complain for the whole 45 minutes too). Fuck that shit, and I live in one of the most absurdly pretentious area's for that waiting game.
But that BBQ looks legitimate. I can taste the crusty edges...
