Yep, you're a super wimp. I wear boots and jeans every day. It's been over 90 degrees for the last 4-5 days, and it's only going to get hotter and more humid. Summers up in your part of the world aren't that bad. Come to think of it, they're actually pretty pleasant.

What can I say? I'm a transplant; I grew up in NC and have lived in TX for the last 6 years. I love brisket, but pulled pork with a vinegar based sauce will always have a special place in my heart (and stomach). But hey- why debate, when we can just enjoy it all?

Brisket on butcher paper is the only way to go with bbq.

I'm with ashkaun on this one- I've always liked the dark face and light brown leather strap combo. I say leave it alone and see what happens to it naturally.

I'd go with the S5000VX- never really been a fan of the overdye trend.

Maybe once or twice a year. Last year was unusual, since they opened a new store in LA and threw a couple of parties. Generally stuff is full price, unless they're trying to burn off old stock (like they did with The Steam Locomotive and Skull a few months back).

Thanks, John. The leather is out of a side I got from Siegel Leather a couple of years ago. And you're right- I didn't hand dye it.

If I remember correctly, the 301s are a Self Edge exclusive, which is why you can't find them through any other sellers. Just relax, they'll be back in stock again. You could ask about them over on the SE thread, too. Kiya or one of the others will be happy to let you know what's going on.

Well, I should know better than to post right after zissou, but I'm gonna do it anyway. This is my first attempt at a laptop case; I wanted something really simple and I was winging it on several of the details. All in all, it came out better than I have any right to expect. My stitching was pretty erratic, so I didn't do any closeups of it.
