  1. 18oz is a completely different denim. The sanforized 21oz is the most breathable. All the other ones are tighter and more dense (from what I've read- I don't have any actual experience with the other weights).

  2. it's never unbearably hot here, so denim is still pretty manageable even on the warmest days (uncomfortable, but manageable)...

...i'm still impressed at how breathable the 21oz denim is.

We've got folks wearing Iron Heart in muuuuch hotter places than Hawaii. The truly hardcore ones are the dudes in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, etc.

And, yeah, it's all attributable to the loose weave, soft & breathable IH denim...

  3. Wasn't aware there were people still interested in his work... I can get a hold of him if you guys would like, helps being bilingual. :)

I think you'll find that there's a steady supply of people interested in Double Volante. The need for an intermediary and the near complete lack of pictures/web presence is the barrier. Thanks for stepping up.:)

  4. Hmmm, you planning on hemming those? Something about the combo seems off; maybe a sleeker fit on the jeans would unify it a little. The heels are pretty badass, though.

  5. 0901 is the STF, vintage series, classic straight cut with plain pockets, 0905 is the one-wash, Going To Battle series, classic straight cut with the white stripes on the right pocket. Theoretically, they're exactly the same fit after the 0901s get soaked/washed.

  6. sorry am going to ask some question

what is the fabric of the 634s and 666 ? is it japanese or zimbabwe? thanks anw

It's cotton grown in Zimbabwe, woven into denim in Japan, so both.:)

  7. Google to the rescue-

    Model Oni-512, slim tapered:

Model Oni-288, 20oz secret denim blue fit:

I'm not surprised Blue In Green has sold out of a few sizes already. Gordon told me in an email that Oni is crazy low volume. BiG gets a shipment once a year and that's basically it. If you have a chance to get down there and try some on, you might wanna do that soon.

If you can't get the size you want at BiG, check Rodeo Bros on Rakuten. They ship to the US and have some Oni stuff in stock (that's where the pics came from) and they're really good to deal with. I've bought from them in the past and can fully recommend them.

  8. Hey Jay, do the BOM collabs still have the pink inseam?

And just to be clear, I like what you're doing with the styles/details, I just can't fit my thighs in skinny cuts.

Oh yeah, and I'll email you about things I'd like to see in the future collabs...

  9. Looks like Blue In Green got their annual shipment of Oni products, including these:

    Oni Denim OX Canvas Jeans

No pics at BIG yet, but a little Google fu shows them looking like this:

Thought folks around here might want to check them out. Oni stuff is seriously low volume, so I don't expect these to last super long.

  10. Why doesn't Momo put out more (if any) regular/straight jeans. I hate this skinny straight stuff.

    This.

Damn, I'm tired of skinny fits. I'd love a pair of the BOM001 in the 0905SP cut.
