I rely on peoples reading ability
I'm working with Sauce Zhan on a new project at the moment, Zhan is a great guy and really knows his stuff. I'll update this thread with pics and progress on that as it happens.
This has potential. I'm intrigued by what I saw on his webpage, particularly the colored weft models. I'm a sucker for that stuff.

This work shirt f/ Left Field NYC also caught my eye. Love the color of the brown one.

That is quite lovely.

HoustonChris, where did you get those Neal Cassady shirts?
I got both of them from Speedway. I couldn't find pics of the chambray one, but in case you're interested, I have this-
Pleasantly surprised by how much I like this shirt, given that I have no experience with the brand. It's the "Neal Cassaday Bakehead" shirt. I stumbled across it while aimlessly websurfing and instantly fell in love. Picked it up from Speedway on Rakuten, which was a wonderfully smooth experience.

I've got two of the Neal Cassady workshirts (one chambray, one not) and they're quite nice. I don't love the throat latch, which looks cool, but tends to get in the way.
And though I don't own any of their chambrays, Iron Heart is always a solid option for work shirts.

Sugar Cane SC40200
'47 cut with natural indigo denim and Kakishibu dyed pocket bags and back pocket lining. With red tab and the Sugar cane broken arcs.
Man, I love everything about those but the Levi's-esque arcs and red tab.

I'll second that emotion on the X's-33. Love my pair, though I haven't beaten them up nearly as much as Brad.

what's a vegan doing at mcdonalds?
I was just buying coffee! I swear!

Well, you have to put it somewhere. Most people like the seams of their clothing to not be visible.

I would drink myself silly with Tart Of Darkness on tap.
Oh yeah- great updates!

I wouldn't wear them, but I think those are kinda cool. And I respect N&F for the willingness to try anything.

I'm still wearing mine, I'm just too lazy to actively participate. Does that make me a lightweight, or some other variety of loser?

I'm getting dangerously intrigued by these.

Over the weekend, we went to the circus. Cell phone photo quality in low light is worse than I thought.
I could do this:
(Stand on the platform off to the side and watch other guys risk their lives, that is)
Benjamin decided to help me with a selfie.
The hat came with our cotton candy purchase, but I'm thinking I should wear it regularly.

Agreed; this could be kind of a cool fundraiser. I like that Rampuya Mills is sponsoring/involved, too.
Watching the video brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "tasty denim", doesn't it?

OK, so I told you I have a pretty boring life, so not much has happened since the first update. That said, I figured I'd go ahead and give you a taste of what my average workday looks like. Prepare to doze off...
First, I have to make the commute. My current assignment is in Crockett, which is about a two hour drive from my house, so the day starts out like this:
Then some of this:
Getting close now.
And then we finally arrive!
After several hours in the County Clerk's Office, digging through public records, this is the highlight of my day (for technical reasons that bore me nearly as much as they would bore you):
Just a public service message- get a will, people. It doesn't take that long and it can save your loved ones a world of trouble.
Moving on; I took a quick stop on the drive home and checked out a landmark. Behold, "The World's Largest Free-standing Statue of an American Hero"! For reference, I'm six feet tall and the tops of the bushes are above my head. The full statue and base is about 80 feet tall.
There's also a small amphitheater where they do presentations about Sam, which comes complete with slightly creepy giant head-
And that's about enough of that for now...

That is such a sweet fence Chris, did you do that or someone you know?
Definitely not me; that is waaaaaay beyond my ability.
My wife hired a local artist, Lee "The One" Washington (http://theonelee.com/) to make our fence more interesting. We're both really happy with his work.

So obviously, the jeans have arrived. As has been said before, the denim is fantastic. Since I've been wearing 18oz+ denim for the last 2-3 years, they seem remarkably lightweight, but with Houston's saunalike summer in full effect, that is not a bad thing.
Anyway, I live a pretty dull life, so I'll only inflict a little of it on you at a time. Once I popped on the jeans, I went into the back yard to take fit pics, then got sidetracked into trimming some branches.
Do these jeans make my butt look big?
Not as unsafe as it looks
Then a quick scrub of the grill, so I can make some burgers later tonight
And with that done, on to the fit pics
Should I call it a day now?

Who wants tour updates?
YOU DO!

When they arrive, I'll post something. I'm trying to think of a few interesting things to do while I have them, but no guarantees.

Is it because you do not care about "serious" fades-whiskers-combs etc or because it doesn't make a difference?
It's because Max can't fade jeans worth shit.
(That's a joke. Max wins contests like it's his job...)
Seriously, Payasote, it doesn't make much difference in the appearance, and regular washing will prolong the life of your jeans.

Thanks; boots are Wesco, by the way.

Well, I broke down and bought a pair of Okinawas when I was in LA and had a chance to try them on. I like the fit on these a lot.
For those of you that have a pair- that snakeskin patch isn't going to hold up well, is it?

I think you're referring to these:
They're the Christmas 2012 special edition jeans in a 21oz "nep weave".
I would do seriously bad things to get another pair in this denim.
