well I never thought this day would come.
This jean has been my biggest jean regret. This was the jean that made me consider changing my whole wardrobe just to fit these in. But it didn't really matter if I did choose to turn my back on my tapered legged ways, my college sized wallet wouldn't have allowed me to spend the obscene $400 these cost at the time. if only I knew.
I have looked for these jeans since that era of my life, trying to time luck with available funding. and it finally happened.
Mister Freedom Riders Dungarees in never worn condition. Fresh from a wash and dry.

How wild. I love this stuff. We will likely never know. Just an odd pair.

@Double 0 Soul PICK DUMP
First, this lighting was more true to color. Wanted to capture that. Such a gorgeous fade.
Patch stitching not like I see on others. From what I've seen its usually one continuous stitch in a rectangle. This is two separate paths.
Tab is double-sided! but upside down on the other side. no idea if normal. seems odd.
no stamps on the buckle
Hidden rivets:
Coin pocket tag
Coin pocket selvage
Button back:
Steel shank:
Rusty inside!
Barely anything left:

Going on a 10-days-trip visiting family and friends. Deciding which jeans to take along...the struggle is real!
No kidding. I just packed up our house to move and I sat there staring at all my denim, trying to imagine all the scenarios and what I want to wear for the next 3 months.

@illumin8em I think the fit is perfect! Solid keeper.

I don't recall seeing a pair of M41030's with pink line denim? the pair i'm wearing are 13oz white-line
..same via a quick search
Same on the later 'cloth patch' model
What does the weight feel like? does if feel the same as the pink-line SC-47's or a lighter weight denim? you would know for sure.
..also button placement seems odd, the top button looks too close to the waistband, usually SC are meticulous with this kind of detail, yet the rivet/fly looks perfect, as does the buckle/cinch assembly, the overstitch/opposing bartack on the back pockets, arcs, thread colour, v-stitch, coin pocket shape ect??
..also odd that they're tagged 35 but measure 30" the M41030 usually shrink from tagged, although judging by the state of the selvedge and the overlapping rivet on the fly they've probably been boiled to within an inch of their life
Can we see some more deets, what's the coin pocket ID? back of rivets? are the button shanks copper or silver? double or single faced tab? and anything left of the nylon 'M41030' pocket label?
I love this thread!
The weight is definitely lighter than my early 2010s '47s.
Also I had this shower realization this morning, 30" waist is 15" across which is 35cm so it must have been a bad translation that didn't relay the message that W35 meant 35 cm flat.
The waistband tag is obliterated. The coin pocket is pink selvage. The coin pocket tag is totally washed out but I will take a closer look to see if I can discern anything.
If I remember correctly, the hidden rivets had "S C & T Co." with a 25 stamped in the center. All other rivets were the same less the 25. The buttons had an S stamped on the back. I will take a closer look at the button shank but they were rusted so leaning toward steel. Tab was double sided also if I remember.
I will pour over these with a camera tonight and post more pics.

I picked up these M41030 that were listed as tagged 35. Sadly they came in at a true 30" and too damn small for me. Bummed. But what a cool pair of jeans. The denim texture, color, and overall details are just something else.
Gnarly pink line denim. PINK LINE??
and the search continues!

Those aren’t the ones from Mercari, are they? The pair I’d been looking at seemed much less worn than that…
Either way, those look really great; it’s a shame the fit’s a dud
Yes they are! It's odd because when I searched M41030 these came up, tagged 35, so I thought we were talking the same. It wasn't until I searched more on Mercari that I saw the basically NOS ones and I realized those were probably the ones you were talking about. Already sold though! No biggy!

@roomtemplacroix that denim really comes alive with frequent washing. It's so tempting with the FW release to pick one up. But I REALLY don't need another denim jacket.

If you're frightened of a crash every time you wear jeans because of this weird plane, you can switch to a regular paper patch. Please consult Ryo.
Haha I love this.

Honestly can't believe my luck! From all the vintage sugar cane I have been looking at it seemed like the larger sizes were going to be hard to find. Thanks again Julian. I'm stoked.

Oh yes I must have read it wrong. Welp that's a done deal! Thanks Julian! Talk about right timing.

Wait I found it. Am I reading that right? The tagged 35 has a true waist of 28 inches??

I've never heard of this mercari thing! PM me the link? I am looking for a true 35 inch waist, whatever that works out to so this might be it. @julian-wolf

Thanks for the bump @julian-wolf. This thread has me searching for an M series '37 pair that I didn't know I needed.

My goodness @Denimseeker, this is a denim nerds erotic novel. I love when something so detail oriented is collated so you can easily drink it all in. Thank you very much for putting in the work and for sharing.

There's an old pair of Okinawas listed on Yahoo in a golden size 33, ..even though these were made in quite high quantities, these days it's ridiculously difficult to find NOS with red tab intact.
This is their second listing, they failed to make the asking price last week...somebody buy them
Here's my old pair for inspiration, excuse the crapy indoor shots, i wasn't as proficient at photographing my jeans in those days
With flash
w/out
with flash
w/out
This is the pair i cut up into patches @Graytrain...i'm still looking
Edit- scratch that, look at the glue, resin, paint and such, where ive wiped my fingers on the back pocket, i think these shots are actually post and pre wash rather than with and wout flash
Man these are amazing. Love the green cast of this denim. Thanks for keeping an eye out for me!

Man in such a short time my mind has been blown by what I thought I knew about loop wheeled Ts.

Never realized Lady White used loopwheeled fabrics—any idea which factory they come from?
None at all. And I hope I wasn't speaking out my ass saying they were. Reading through this thread there seems to be some technicality into whether it is truly loopwheeled or not even if it doesn't have a side seam.
They don't have any side seems and certainly hold their shape better than any other shirts I've worn.
