  1. nobody is perfect except for that wallet right there!
  2. So... Yamane Art is from Hidehiko Yamane (father) and Yamane Industries is from his son?
  3. 😆 by the way, was it ever revealed which mill Ooe is using?
  4. That IG post from Ruedi really triggered "some" people... https://www.instagram.com/p/C8PwvG9tCXl/?img_index=1
  5. That didn't last too long. So who bought it?
  6. My only hope: as long as people are interested in the original (read vintage Levi's 501s) there will be a certain demand for repro jeans.
  7. Most will tell you to buy from Hoosier. Excellent service and everything will be covered. In terms of size: I wore a W34 in the FW1947 and wear a W36 in Ooe. The FW felt roomier so you will probably be happy with a W32 or a W33 to be safe.
  8. I know this feeling all too well. Inernet wasn't a thing when the Osaka5 released their early stuff. And even if it would have, it would be gone anyway. So you need old magazines. Also many of the old Japanese blogs are deleted making it harder to get info. And I have the feeling the brands weren't as transparent back then. Nowaydays you get much more info about the denim and the design. So once "we" are gone and don't care anymore, who will?
  9. Pure luck, it's the standard inseam on these.
  10. Well, I still wear them so that makes me a wearer of collectible jeans?! I mean of course it's all marketing. All the jeans/brands we discuss here market their products one way or another. I don't really care how Sugar Cane names this line as long as the product is interesting to me. And from all the jeans released over the last couple of years, these releases sparked my interest the most.
  11. If I only knew! What I got from the videos Clutchman TV posted, there were 8 pieces from one single source, which ended up with the collector we see in the vidoes. All in deadstock condition maybe? Surely, the differences would be minor and besides the obvious stitching errors we cannot judge if the denim is really that different.
  12. Damn, where did you find the pics already?! I am more of a no-cinch guy so the 1945 are more intersting to me
  13. Now everything is SOLD! (and the rebuilt will stay in my collection).
  14. Curious as well. That's all the info I saw. I hope SC will release some more official info soon.
  15. Just saw some info about the next "Super Denim Collectibles" I wasn't sure there would be more but it was also said there are 8 possible items. Next ones: 1942 jeans 1945 jeans 1945 jacket
  16. Sorry to hear that! Factoring in the rise can be tricky. All I can say I have the SC1943 and SC1946 both in W34 as well as the 711 and the latter feels smaller.
  17. Merz - Duke - Denime - Cons
  18. IIRC, BEARS did this already 2 years ago or so (just check this thread) and also because of FC not wanting them to undercut the overseas retailers. But the prices went back. We will see what happens.
  19. That's really some stubborn denim. 3 months wear in total or 3 months par of the rotation?
  20. The Sugarcane 1943 and 1946 are a bit wider in 34 than my 711 but not much. So if you are a W32 in Sugarcane I would say a W34 in the 711 is indeed too big.
  21. I think I can do the initial wash now (talking about the jeans)
  22. This thread makes me feel so much better about my vast collection of jeans 😅
  23. That's like double my (mental) age! @vlad_III Might have looked good on the pictures I posted but in the end it was mainly the back rise being way higher than I prefer.
  24. As expected with me: 1. Denime 507XX Size 42 (Shins) 2. Denime 507XX Size 44 (Shins) 3. Denime 507XX Blanket Lined (Orizzonti) 4. Denime 557XX (Orizzonti)
