A batch of 02's should be hitting soon-ish, made from deadstock Cone. Not sure of the timeframe right now, but soon.
Say whatttt, from where? I don't need more jeans but I know I need these

True, Basel is dead. With all the recent releases (Watches and Wonders + brands releasing watches anyway the past couple days), I sort of hope Rolex/Tudor show their novelties soon and not wait another year till whatever the new event is called. They never said outright that they would wait, but a lot of the blogs/media jumped to that conclusion (more of a "postponed until further notice" than "cancelled this year"). Just wishful thinking though, I shouldn't be buying watches either way lol

@aho wow no more GS then huh? Well I guess the sub is as classic as it gets when it comes to divers.
Am considering buying another 9F GMT (SBGN003) as a quartz go-to, but am happy sticking with mothership Seiko for japanese divers at this point! The new SLGA Spring Drive diver released this year looks insane, but again way too big...
I'm convinced that a smaller Pelagos is coming out though, and if it does I'll actually just buy that lol0 -

how did you all get into raw denim? Super vague question but I’d like to hear your stories!
Was always into denim, but thought torn up A&F were the best in the early 2000's
Then lived in Japan during college years, 2005 discovered SuFu but didn't join. Being in Japan of course, and my friends being Hypebeasts brought me in to APC and the Levi's shops in Kyoto and I ended up buying my first raw pairs (New Cure and raw 513's). Got more and more into it via the Japan connection with Japanese brands of course, and am here today.1 -

I share this sentiment too! It’s why I gravitated toward the simple black bay. 95% of people I encounter will never know what the hell it is or ever care for that matter. It’s kind of a sleeper and I like it that way.
If I ever spent big money on a watch(granted a Tudor isn’t exactly small money), it would probably be for a grand seiko. It’s amazing that in the watch circles, many feel that they just can’t spend “Rolex money” on something that has Seiko on the dial. I’d do it for just that reason; so if anyone were to ask about my watch, I could say it’s just a seiko and avoid any scorn associated with high consumption. Meanwhile only I know that it’s truly a masterpiece inside and out, and no one needs to understand zaratsu polishing etc. Kinda like everyone else just thinks I’m wearing Levi’s and I like it that way.
One day I’ll have that spring drive
Funny I got into watches due to the Japan connection (via Seiko and Grand Seiko); Eventually I've sold off all of my Grand Seiko's and shifted to Rolex because they wear on my smaller wrist much better. Not knocking GS, but they haven't made the diver I'm looking for yet (and I've owned them all unfortuantely)...Biased due to my smaller wrist of course.

Looks like a good modern size/fit! I personally prefer smaller, but I have smaller wrists to begin with...
MM300 w/Ooe:
Also I sold out and went Rolex a couple months back. No denim in this shot, but M-1943 to keep it somewhat adjacent:

^Hilariously I have a pair of the 22's sitting around from that run, as well as a couple 15th Anniversary's.....Damn I feel old

Those 25th 1946's look so good...I guess I sort of have to buy a pair right?

How I plan to dress once this is all over:

Lovely writeup @volvo240thebest! Agreed I’m really enjoying my pair and they seem to be super fast faders. Will not be washing as frequently as a result.
Owe you some fit pics and owe @Broark post wash measurements! In ordered them with a custom 8 inch leg opening so they fit nicely down the leg but perhaps some slight hip flare due to the 38 inch waist. Detail and construction wise I love them for the price, esp. given the direct made to order ability. The denim will fade nicely I think

Checking back in in April lol...Didn’t vote but count me in

ooooff...what the hell, I'm in for WWII Warehouse LOL
+1 on raw/non-washed, should tack off the cost as well. Really hoping we can use the new fabric (hell, the new WWII in general), but maybe just do custom pockets.1 -

Picked up a pair by DM'ing Matin on instagram. You can customize inseam as well as leg opening (!), and construction takes about ten days til delivery (international delivery available). Will report back once it arrives. Shout out to @Broark for vouching for these, and posting images earlier in the thread. Not sure why these are being slept on as they have all the hallmarks of greatness: Interesting fabric, small batch custom made to order, affordable ($230 USD shipped), linked to YM factory (can pull allllll the historic examples needed)

Was turned on to Hoka One One by a certain bandit photographer...Finally bought a pair and damn they're cozy! Considering a second pair for daily wear, love the bright neon colors, who have I become...

My latest (last for a long time) acquisition, 9F GMT:
Waiting on shipment, but got to try it on while travelling in NY. If you have any doubts about Grand Seiko, you won't after seeing one of these in person. Even QUARTZ...

The amount @aho has gained over the years I'm on Sufu, he has to be the biggest man of the world
I started at a size 29, and now need a size 38 (at least in Japanese sizing; 37 if brands made them)...
My TCB's were a 36!
