  1. i knew it was required that all chinaboys must own at least one tee/polo from play, but was a new lahw passed for chinagirls as well?

shhh. i was plannin to wear the tee once and flip it after i'm done with being a hypebreast for the day. tsk.

i do prefer your sexier ensembles to that of borrowing tweedles' clothing.

i'm not naturally sexy, so it takes some work to try and look so. lazy today lah.

  2. yes i did. there was supposed to have been a shortcut through the carpark but the guard stopped us from walking down the ramp. so we had to climb 138 steps in the noonday sun up the hill. and yes, my friend working there counted.

  3. it's good! my favourite dimsum - but yes, not one of those things that everyone takes to. there's no meat, just skin and tendon that's very soft. alot of small bones that you have suck the skin off, and then spit out. i love the taste, texture and process.

  4. proof black and brown can go together haha

thanks. but honestly that really shouldn't be in here. it's a wear-something-to-sweat-it-out-while-scouting-cdgguerillastore fit. not even a personal best, let alone best waywt.

  5. called the macdelivery for breakfast some days ago:

    warm valhrona chocolate cake

with a girl friend the following day's lunch:

    wayet0116ys3.jpg

customary lo hei with raw fish, shredded carrot and green radish, and assorted condiments.

so you toss the salad for good luck, and say auspicious greetings as you do so.

dim sum was not bad but we were stuffed from the big plate of lo hei. imagine 2 girls my size finishing all the above.

Dinner at my favourite blue and yellow place:

  6. soepom you seem like the right person to ask, wheres a good place in singapore with reasonably priced food n drinkz wiv a chill setting? that isn't in the dempsey road area.. dat place is getting toooo damn crowded

well if you're still keen on good live music, nice food and drinks at decent prices - try Barstop at Devonshire road (next to petrol kiosk).

there's an okinawan japanese restaurant that some of my musician friends like going to but it's a tad on the pricey side though the food is good. it's on the 3rd floor of Tanglin Shopping Centre (not Tanglin Mall). try the ox-tongue steak. soooo good.

and then my favourite is Cafe Le Caire on Arab Street. The food is fantastic. Place opens late. Nice vibe, with shisha. Only problem is no alcohol 'cos it's a halal venue.

  7. ^ i think it's alright really. of course, if the food looks good, and the photos are well taken, it's always a pleasure. but if people want to share what they've been eating, be it some crappy junk food - that's cool too.

i think the thread apart from just being visual food feast, also serves to document what people from different parts of the world/social groups consume, the differences, and sometimes the surprising similarities are interesting (at least to me). the thread is in the superculture forum, precisely because we are exchanging snippets of our culture, and food is particularly insightful to society because of how it differentiates us from other living creatures in the way we prepare it, and because it is the cornerstone of our vulgar existences... etc etc. i must stop. too verbose.

  8. Ah thanks everyone!

Sorry, it was written on a paper napkin and handed to me during my set - and it was something apparently a guest at my joint was inspired to write. I think he was either trying to express himself poetically, or, he was inebriated. the spelling errors would be due to the fact that I could barely make out his handwriting. and i forgot the commas when i was trying to type it into the translator.

Now that I know what it means, that was a rather nice thing to be told I think.
