Yeah, I really wanna go see a bunch of teenage girls crying and singing along, not to mention horrible shit music. "The next Dylan" my ass- what a fucking joke.

Looks like they were tapered. Cool jeans, though.

theguppie, Seems like zip fly Levi's with hidden rivets would 501Zxxs, or whatever the hell those are, can't remember at the moment. Didn't 505s appear in 1967? Hidden Rivets were gone by then. Can you post some pics?

Here are some of mine:
The second from left was my old barber's. When he retired, he sold all of his stuff, including a couple of chairs from the 20's. He wouldn't sell this razor, though. I went to see if he wanted any help the next day, and he sold me this razor. It was the one he used. I also bought some of his older ones. I use it every once in a while. The cabinet they're in was his, too, and I also got a cool comb jar.
The Boker on the far right is the best one I have as far as shaving goes, with the bone handled razor in the middle a close second. The Thiers-Issard razors on the classicshaving.com website look like winners. I like this one, and will probably get one soon; it looks like a great, usable razor:

Here they are at 4 months, fresh from hang drying after a wash. They have been worn at least 85% since they came in.
Tracks are starting to come out:
I'll probably post more pics in 2 more months.

You're part of the problem if you prefer "the modern world of instant exchanges/warrenties(sic)" You've just admitted you're a typical consumer. It's economically feasible to buy a replacement TV because they're now pieces of shit.
Look at Sony. Used to be, if it was a Sony, you knew you had something good. Now, you know you'll have to replace it within a year or two.

That Dovo set looks like form over function to me- looks like the blades are not double ground. I've never had any problems honing my razors. The stones are so fine it'd be hard to fuck up.

Try the search function. There you will find that Sugarcane jeans shrink to tagged size.

I washed mine earlier, pics by Saturday.

I think BiG, like I would imagine the manufacturers do, washes the jeans, and runs them through the dryer at a pretty hot temperature. My pair hasn't shrunken much since it was a new one-wash pair, maybe another 1-2%.
I would suggest washing yours inside out and drying fully in the dryer. Don't worry about losing much, if any, indigo. Hit the patch with some mink oil, or something similar, or else it'll turn into jerky quick. Hopefully you have some room for them to shrink up, they will have some stretch in them after shrinkage.

Cool! Are you going to soak them? Looks like you have the 2007 version, jusging from the patch. I'm washing mine tonight or tomorrow. I'll post updated pics when they're dry. How do you like yours?

Travis, C&C makes some nice stuff. I usually gig with one of the 15" brass drums, pretty tough to go wrong there.

2000dB- thanks. I like the COB Ludwigs, but they're getting ridiculously expensive. The guy I work for has 20+ COBs, I could use if I wanted. I like the older heavy brass shell Ludwig & Ludwig drums, and I prefer 15" drums- more balls. The 2nd and 4th drum down in the pic are both heavy brass 6.5x15. I use those the most. I guess I'm a bit of a collector, but I don't keep anyting that I don't use.
The kit I play is a 24/13/16, made with Keller mahogany/poplar shells with repro Radio King lugs. Looks old, sounds really nice- a "modern vintage" sound, per se. Got a gig tonight, I'll try to get a pic.

Here are some snares. I don't have a clear shot of my set, maybe later this week.

Whatever you do, get STEEL toeclips. the MKS ones work fine. I broke an old Campy aluminum while pushing a tall gear- it was a pretty bad spill.

Nope. Flush twice...

hysteric- if you are in US, I'd suggest seeing if Blue in Green has your size. They carry one wash 1001xx's, and you'll be able to exchange if you don't get the size you want.

My trusty steed: Freschi Super Criterium. SL frame, circa early 80's. Pretty much all Campy Super Record, Cinelli B&S. Rides great, and a really well-built frame- Freschi was an engineer and builder with Pogliaghi when Sante P ran the company. If I could find a set of decals I'd get the stay and fork crown rechromed and the frame repainted.

I'm not a fan of ditressed jeans, but Warehouse seems to do a halfway believable wash.

how can you be nostalgic for a time when you wrrent even fucking alive?
I wasn't alive in my childhood??? Get unstuck, moron.

Fuck, most everything was made better- electronic equipment, a lot of clothing and shoes, homes. Everthing is now disposable, or unrepairable. Tv breaks? Fuck, buy a new one, it's not made to be fixed. Fuel pump out? Wanna rebuild it? tough shit, ain't gonna happen.
Rock and roll used to be made better, at least on a larger scale.

I only mentioned the wear on the coin pocket being from a knife to explain the wear- damn thing rubbed the indigo away. It's not to look like a badass.
As far as washing goes, I think every 3 weeks is a good way to go. Seems like that's how often I used to wash my jeans before SF.

Better pics after the next wash, which will be in a week or so. I decided I'd treat these as jeans; what a concept. Seems like a lot of the "no wash for 1 year" jeans look artificial- too contrasty. These are starting to get some fades. They are super well dyed, as the slow wear/fading process proves. The wear on the coin pocket is from a knife.
