Approaching the 3 month mark. I have to go to the Chicago area on the 14th for a drum show. I'll wash after I get back in town and get a progress report turned in.

Quick pic at work. No web at home for quite a while.

dope roping, how have you washed them? how did you dry?
Regular cold or warm machine wash, hang dry.
6 months before washing is ridiculous.

No real porn value, too busy lately. Almost 2 months, post 3rd wash:

BrownMetallic, feel free to wash 'em, they will stretch back pretty quick.

Heech- I've got a 506xx with blank buttons. It does have 555 on the care tag.

jake, I have a 507 just like that- no XX. Are the buttons stamped 822? If so, what year is it from? The inner tag (not the leather one) in mine is long gone. Anyone know what factory 822 designates? I assume it's after the San Antonio plant closed.

nevermind.

Yes, but the difference between the 1000xx & 1001xx denim is that the 1001xx is Memphis cotton; the 1000xx is not.

Seems like they're using 1001xx denim, since it is the Memphis cotton.

Just threw mine in the wash for the third or fourth time. I'll try to post pics in the morning.
I rolled myself down my street for five blocks. Cars were honking, and I incited more than a few road rage incidents. I'm really sore and bruised up, but I looked avant-garde doing it and I should get some sick fadez. Fuck it, money grows on trees.
Not really.

in my opinion those lone wolf engineers (and most vintage inspired work boots) look a little awkward with that showroom shine. the charm comes with some neglect and regular wear.
partytaco, I'm sure that the other 20+ pairs of vintage inspired work boots dude owns have prevented any wear from happening to the LW.
Did I just say that out loud?

doctognar- that's a bummer, and I can't understand why Levi's used STF denim for the zippered 501s. Sanforized woulda been the way to go for sure!

Freedom, yes.
Stupidity, no.

Not much to report a month in. Worn everyday, washed again 2 weeks in. A little bit of hige starting to barely come in. Some other lightening of the indigo in the usual spots. I imagine it'll take another month for noticable fading to show up. Best pair of jeans I've owned yet, and that's coming from a WH 1001xx owner.

howd you guys go about putting the tab on ?
wesc, I put my tag on where it is on my Warehouse 1001xxs. I only broke the outside line of stitches around the backpocket; the tag wasn't wide enough to be stiched in with both lines of backpocket stiching. Hope that made sense! I also sewed beyond where I cut the stitches out, hoping to prevent future breaking of the original stiching. Took maybe 10 minutes from start to finish.

Yep, ye olde needle and thread.
