That's gonna work really great...

I'm waiting to hear back from Joe about some '66 measurements. I'm in if they're the right size!

Never mind- found the answer in the 501 guide by Paul T.

Are the 66 501 similar to the 78s, cut-wise, for indentical sizes? I want a high rise with a traditional top block and tapered legs. It seems like the 66 and 78 cuts are pretty similar. Help a brother out!

Here's my 0105s at a little over 10 months:

Yeah, if it's raw brass, soak it in vinegar overnight. That'll age it QUICK.

Bijan, what kind of boots are those?
Worn out Blundstone 500s. Comfortable and really light.

Find out when the Woolmark symbol was introduced. Your blanket is no newer than that.
I've got an older Glacier National Park blanket. It's nice and warm.

Easy, now. Bush wasn't born here, haha! Don't let him give us a bad name, although I understand how he has made America look like a country of idiots.
Got a good pile of straight razors, too. I quit buying non-usuable ones. I have 6 good users, so I haven't felt the urge to look for more.

Just started getting into these:
This one's from 1922. Have a 1916 on the way. America, and Texas especially, rules.

Looks like TVshooter and HaGa are the clear front runners right now- looking good! Here are mine after 8 months:
Had to do some minor crotch reinforcement:

Waxed dental floss works great for repairs, too. Super strong, easy to work with.

My laptop took a shit a while back, so I've been out of the loop. Will post more pics at the 7 month mark. Some great looking pairs already!

Hand washing or machine?
Jeans look great!
Thanks! machine wash. Hand washing is a joke when they're washed every two weeks or so. I want all the funk out.

The pocket repair pic was darkened a lot to show the repair. These have been washed pretty regularly. Infrequent washing=frequent repairs, among other things. These have been worn every day, maybe 10 days off total. It's been over 100 degrees here for probably the last 2 weeks at least!

5 months, freshly dried. Color in pics is pretty close to reality.
One repair to the right coin pocket, and the crotch needs a little stitching redone.

Supa- what does the waist measure raw?

Also, Giesche's is having an exclusive Indy boot made. It's dark brown (think chocolate), fully leather lined. I THINK Bryan said $400 or $450, I don't remember, I was pretty road-weary.

So I went by Giesche's Shoes in Geneva, IL last week. As far as oucs go, it's a normal shoe shop, so I didn't tkae any pics. They were out of Indys in my size. I like the look of them, so I might order some later in the year. Bryan was helpful, as mentioned earlier in this thread.

I will try to get pics. I arrive Friday and I'll have some time to kill then.

Ask for Bryan.
they don't have a website, but Bryan will answer any questions you have for him via telephone.
the store is a mom and pop shoe store that has been around forever and I cannot recommend them enough.
they can also get you anything made by Alden.
