    • It's been about 5 weeks since my last update. Despite the hot weather I've managed to wear these most days. Overcast outside today so a pretty true representation of the progress, I'd say. First repair happened a couple of weeks back. An inch and a half of hand stitching on the crotch seam. Likely I could have done a neater job had I not lacked the self discipline to remove my bifocals, and break my focus from reruns of Dickenson's Real Deal.
    • Inspired by @chicote's recent WAYWT pic, I looked into vintage Gant shirts. Apparently in the 60s for some time they were the world second largest producer of shirts. I saw these details of their shirts on one vintage packaging. Sensible high quality points.
    • Here's a video from a couple months ago where he wears them: He fills out the jeans and jacket pretty good, leading to the nice whiskering of his pair. Ever since I started wearing straight fit jeans, pretty much all of my pairs have a very relaxed fit in the top block, since for my waist size of 31-32 I have skinny thighs and a not-large rear end. Still, I quite like my fit, which is very comfortable and similar to how early 40s jeans were worn in photos from the period by Russell Lee, etc.
    • Just got the 54s back from hemming. Feels pretty good.
