The 220a and 224 both feel lighter in weight than the number suggests. @winteracr you'll be fine in NYC. I've never found mine too hot for LA weather (although the first 27 years of my life being spent in/around NYC tells me the humidity is REAL @beautiful_FrEaK @Alec Leamas Thank you both for the info! I found that chart confusing too, so I wanted to ask y'all. I got the jacket today. Fit is unwashed, and I can tell it will slim up quite nicely. My 220a and 224 both seem to have slightly different denim textures. The jacket SEEMS similar to the 220a denim, but it's hard to tell in the raw state.

Since I don't have a proper type-3 repro (my Oni secret denim jacket is... its own unique beast), I decided to pull the trigger on a Lot 233. If I understand correctly, it's the same denim as the 220A. I know it's meant to complement lot 221, but I'm unsure if the three use the same fabric. My instincts tell me they are also the same as the type-2 jacket in the series. @beautiful_FrEaK I feel like you may know this answer. Anyway, I went with a size 38 per pre-wash measurements, and I'm hoping for a slim, almost shirt-jacket-type fit.

Some progress updates on my 400T. Wore these for pretty much 6 months straight in 2024, and then added into a rotation with a few other pairs after that. I think I've washed these about 4 times so far, but I honestly can't remember at this point. The verticle slub has started to really pop.

Hey @CharlieMike! My pair of 711 in 32x32 has been hot washed and put through the dryer, and didn't really shrink noticeably (maybe 1-2cm) from the original inseam length which was around 80cm~

Not particularly rough, but there is texture. I'd say it's pretty comparable to Full Count's 13.7oz denim.

My 30s have been here for a few days and have been worn every day so far. Had a bit of a shipping issue and had to pick up at the local FedEx, but I'm happy to have a 30's tux finally. I'll get some fit pics when I'm able. CC @Thicolas Rage

FWIW, I have a Cushman set-in sleeve, and its wildly comfy. It retains that soft, pillowy feel as it wears in.

These look great! I think mine should be here on Monday, so I'll grab some pics if I can. Also- I'd leave the hem stitching as is. The more you mess with it, the more likely you'll end up with some subpar roping as I've learned from experience.

Awesome, we can compare fits once we both have 'em. 😆 Mine are on their way right now and should have them within the week. I think these may have the widest leg opening of anything I own aside from FC or my Ooe WW2.

Since I've been in love with my 30s jacket, I ordered a pair of 30s jeans from Göteborg Manufaktur since they had a size 31 available. These will be my first pair with a cinch waist, too. I'm having them hemmed a bit longer than usual, leaving them at 85cm so I can try to get some of that TCB sag look.

My 60s are a size 31, wish I had bought a 32 but they fit. I can also confirm that there was more or less no rise shrinkage on my pair, just a bit in overall length and waist which stretched back out (even more so that I'm about 10lbs up from when I bought them).

Wonder what Hayashi-san and whomever owned SDA were doing at the time.. 🤣

66 black, size 31. I had no idea how versatile these would be. I slept on the black warp/white weft combo for way too long. Also, the cut of these is *chefs kiss*.

I just picked up a pair of black 66s. I'll post some pics. I love the jeans. So much. Was a curiosity purchase turned into a perfect fit.

I bought a pair of old-model S510xx raw, but have only washed once to shrink so far. I lost about 3ish inches from the first wash though. I'll report back the next time they get a wash @1fookntitefd

@Jared_Lee Beautiful. I also really like how the patch has relaxed and actually become nicer looking with wear. I saw a similar transition on the patch of my 1108xx after a handful of washes. The wrinkled, dried-up leather softens nicely.

My size 31 220A measures exactly 79" in the waist after several washes/dries, if that helps.
-
@Thicolas Rage Perfect fit on both items! We have the same chest, shoulder, and waist measurements, so it's good to know if I get a 20s jacket at some point!
-
Ah, interesting. The newer heavyweight one I got is a nice fabric and cut.

If you order from them directly, you can probably ask them to hem the sleeves. I'm not sure if it's a thing, but it's worth asking in the order notes.
-
TCB jackets tend to have longer sleeves than comparable jackets from other brands. From my knowledge, the 20s denim is prone to shrinking more with the first couple of washes, so I can imagine the sleeve and body length will be affected by that. If I had to guess, the longer sleeve length seems to be part of their intended fit because they tend to prefer the slouchier, looser look from shots all over their website and social media.

I'm assuming the tee is The Rite Stuff and if so, I just got their heavyweight and its immediately my favorite.
