  1. Cooler temps in the mountains is a nice break from the oppressive heat back home. Lovely weather today! FW army shirt, tezomeya t, duke belt, wom jeans
  2. Taking some days off in the rocky mountains. Started the day with a trail ride and spent the afternoon hiking around taking photos.
  3. Shrunk my SC 1945 jacket and gave it a test fit. SC 1945, power wear, wom jeans, birks
  4. I recognize that jacket @MJF9 looking good!
  5. Gave my 33 jacket its second wash today. Coming along slowly but I’m starting to see some progress.
  6. I appreciate the responses. I’ve liked the look of the N1s for a bit now, but this one might be best to admire from a distance. If I’m out in the cold for any duration I’m typically doing something active and the layering approach works just fine. I could see a reason for it at a sporting event or something minimally active. Not in a rush and wanted to see how other people liked or didn’t like them.
  7. For those with N-1 jackets, do you still wear them or do they end up collecting dust in your closet?
  8. I resonate with this strongly. In the last 5 yrs or so I’ve been getting really picky about what records I buy. I don’t really want to buy an album if I only like one song. So it better be really good, or I’ll seek out a compilation or better yet 45 single since they take up less space. Bonus is the 45s (styrene excepted) generally sound better than the same song from an LP. Yeah, albums give that different listening experience that can be nice. I’ve ended up with a significant collection of singles as Soul is my favorite genre. Too many cuts that were only ever available as a single. Lately, I’ve been enjoying sticking to what I can find locally or when traveling rather than buying records online. Kind of a fun limitation that rewards patience with serendipity. I’ll counter @Double 0 Soul by saying that most albums suck. Or to word differently, it’s a small percentage of albums that deliver a great front to back listening experience. I think albums are worth listening to front to back at least once, but I’m not going to force myself to listen to 7 or 8 filler tracks when I just want to hear the best 2 or 3 off the album. The beauty of truly great albums is the nuance that is revealed with multiple listens over multiple years. “De la Soul is Dead” is one of those albums for me.
  9. The side-eye from the pup is too good
  10. Looks good @Jared_Lee are you doing the laundromat wash + dryer with these? And I agree these seemed to knock off a chunk of indigo with the shrink wash and first week of wear, then settled in to neither fast nor slow fading.
  11. Sorry for your loss @bartlebyyphonics
  12. Quick update pic from a couple weeks ago. I’ve worn these pretty consistently since the start. They have seen a variety of activities from light hikes, weekend trips, walks around town, several skateparks, and plenty of office & car sitting. I think I might give them their first proper wash in a couple more weeks. Whiskers looking good so far. The fit/cut is still very enjoyable.
  13. I made a very impromptu trip down to Santa Fe (from Denver) on Friday. Apologies to the group I didn’t even think to give a heads up until I was already heading back home. The 10th anniversary S&S/OOE pair they have for pre-order is black unsanforized denim with some loosely interpreted 20s-ish details; black warp white weft, cinch, suspender buttons (metal), belt loops, crotch rivet, exposed back pocket rivets, and white cloth patch. The patch was blank, so who knows what that will end up looking like. They told me the cut was more/less a modified 03 with same-ish top block (hip ever so slightly narrower) and still has the straight leg, but ever so slightly narrower from the knee down than standard 03. I neglected to take photos of them, but here’s a snip from the S&S SF IG
  14. Looks great @beautiful_FrEaK If you get time, do you mind sharing measurements for your jacket? I ended up picking up the 45 jacket in non-wash. Curious how close your jacket shrunk compared to the one wash chart.
  15. Hat + sunglasses a must here in the higher elevation. It’s still a trip needing sunglasses early in the morning, but the sun is aggressive. However, I can’t stand sunglasses with a beanie. Looks absolutely awful and I’m not about that.

Yes. Need to frequently remind myself that I don’t need to have every shiny new thing. I browsed sufu a bit over the years, but didn’t join until recently. Was involved in the skate community for so long and only recently ventured away clothing-wise. So that makes sense why I haven’t hit all these micro trends. However, I’ve worn Levi's as long as I can remember and always preferred them rigid and without stretch.
  17. This is one that I missed because I wasn’t into denim jackets then, but would snatch up real quick if they do another run.
  18. Post 2nd-shrink post barber pic. Liking these more and more.
  19. Checking in with pre/post and initial thoughts. I really like these jeans and cut. The roping is top notch. I’m still tripping out on the denim pockets bags It’s a weird feeling, but will only get better with wear. I didn’t get as much shrink in the waist as I wanted with the first wash, so I ran them through again as well as a trip through the dryer. Think we’re fully shrunk now - waist snug, but has loosened to what I was wanting and inseam hit requested post-shrink exactly. I ended up with some marbling with the initial soak/wash/hang dry that was probably intensified with the second wash/dryer. My typical machine wash/dry usually doesn’t marble like this, but it did this time. No worries - I’m choosing to see the squiggles as ‘freshly grated mozzarella’ for my pizza pants. Pre Post initial wash, hang dry
  20. I thought I read somewhere that there are no side seams, just the seam down the back. Could that be it and just lost in translation?
  21. Took a few detail shots to add to the thread before I beat up these jeans.
  22. I’ll see if I can add more pre-shrink fit pics later or might be lazy and just combine pre/post shrink pics to the picture thread with measurements. My raw fit is really similar to @Jared_Lee with ample room all over. Leaning toward hot wash & hot tumble dry. Perhaps 2x hot wash and no drier. The raw waist ended up on the generous end of the tag size. Still well within tolerance, but I would like to get as much shrinkage in the top block and inseam as possible.
  23. My pair also arrived. Apologies if I missed it elsewhere, but are we waiting until Friday 1/17 to give them the initial wash?
