Lees were for the poor slobs who couldn’t afford Levi’s.

My GBG contest pair was w35 and fit perfect after the first couple washes but the hips and calf's kept shrinking in following frequent washes. I got Broarks w38 pair and gave them a hot wash and dryer
and they fit real comfy now.
The flannel and olive pocket combo on the neat style pair look really nice.
Whats the Buzz pair Shingo has posted with the Lee pockets and Levi arcs? is that arc a wallet flap fade or something?

Probably that I was able to get my correct inseam actually.
They have a mix of my favorite details from Sugarcane (copper backed buttons, selvedge front pockets) and Warehouse (painted buttons, denim texture) also the two animal patch and puckering of TCB.

Thanks! They are definitely my favorite pair now

r01 test lots size 32. Got these from @shredwin_206 right before the lockdown started. a little too snug if I put anything in my pockets nowadays

D1708 size 36. I got these from @beautiful_FrEaK in 2019. I gained some weight and they fit better now

Hardly anything like the actual 70s Lee's i've owned, but it does have some details i like.

55 501 555 size 34. too tight in the hips now, doesn't remind me of a 50s cut. I brought these into the LVC meat packing store to get hemmed but they started unraveling again a few weeks after so i just cut them with scissors
55 501 555 size 36. This is the fit i think of when i think of the 50s
44 501 size 34. just like the 55 tts seems too slim to be an accurate ww2 cut imo

The pocket stitching broke after 4 days which was disappointing. It didn't take too long to restitch it though. the fit and fabric are really nice at least

Could it be a copyright reason?

was more wondering why it's (mostly) only on the navy versions and not the army ones. probably mostly has to do the the lack of the cinch

I've seen some originals that have replaced buttons so I see where you're coming from.
I think he had to close do to illness? hope he's doing alright. I really wanted the field jacket he made (but might have only been a prototype)
Those YM ones look nice, does anyone happen to know what the vertical stitch above the middle of the back pocket is for? I noticed the TCB pair have it to.

@Broark The larger sizes are sold out but I had considered getting the Buzz Ricksons or MASH versions. You could always get those add on suspender buttons and use them for the fly? The sewn on buttons held up fine for me though, I believe they were nos ones from the 30s.
I found the little repair pouch they came with a little while ago, the lightweight denim is surprisingly durable

the D33 had double felled outseams that kept the visible selvedge. Anybody know about the original CCC Pairs?

Thanks! I was on vacation so I took my time and was mindful to wipe my hands on my shirt instead of pants.

D33 2014-2019
Worn the year for the contest then every summer (except 2018) as painting/work pants. Painted 3 cottages with these and didn't get too much paint on them
