@Dan_F so epic! Killer fades! How long have you worn them? I think you’re the first pair I’ve seen that’s em actually exposed the rivets on the back pockets haha.
curious what they look like if you get a chance for a close up.I just took a close look- they haven’t quite broke through yet. Now I’m motivated to wear them more often until they do! I wore them 5-6 times per week for about 10 months, then only occasionally for 2ish years. The denim really gets that sky blue that I prefer to the greyish blue that a lot of denim fades to,

That is a perfect, effortless fit @roomtemplacroix
where are you located that such an outfit is still permitted by the weather?
Not sure where they are, but here in the SF Bay Area one can dress like that almost every day of the year.

Anyone know if Buzz Rickson’s original spec chinos shrink? I’m wondering if I need to run them through the washer and dryer before I get them hemmed.

^nevermind- I think it’s just a few wonky alterations. The selvedge is visible up towards the pocket. I’m guessing it’s just been tapered, waist altered, and hemmed with that fabric put there for I’m not sure what reason. I’d delete the post, but I can’t figure out how.

I got a pair of used 1947’s off of eBay and they’re different than what I’ve experienced before- the fit through the calf is more trim, they are non-selvedge, have some weird square of different denim at the back belt loop, and have this weird fabric trim at the hem (second to last pic). Anyone know what these are?

Thanks @srudy ! I greatly appreciated the trade- these jeans have seen a lot of wear since then!

@shredwin_206 I wasn’t planning on doing any updates until the end of the contest, but here is a closeup of what was originally your pair. This is the first pair of jeans that I wore a hole through the knee in many years.

@beautiful_FrEaK that shirt looks great on you- I wish my belly still fit in those Flat Head western flannels, haha.

@Broark I’ve been on the fence about this pair given the price (though I suppose all jeans have gone up in cost a good bit), but I’m still considering them, as Corlection has some in my size in stock. Can you comment on how they fit in comparison to the 47’s?

Anyone have any suggestions for slow-fading denim? I want to add a high rise straight leg cut that fades slowly to my rotation.

@julian-wolf Thanks for the info. Your pair definitely is different from the ones at SE. Warehouse seems to have a lot of cuts and a good bit of them don’t quite work for me. Based on your measurements, your pair is the kind of cut that I prefer. Great pickup!

@julian-wolf How is the front rise on those? I was going to grab a pair of the 1001xx that Self Edge just released, but the front rise was a bit low for my liking. Oddly, every size they stock, except for the 36, has an 11.5” front rise.

@Duke Mantee That jacket is amazing!

How often does Ooe tend to make their more standard jeans? I think I've been looking on the S+S website periodically for over 2 years now for a restock.
I emailed S&S last week, and they said that there is an 01 restock in the works. There isn’t a timeframe, but when the time gets close, there will be a pre-order.

Anyone have any experience with Sugar Cane 1966? Sizing, fit, overall thoughts? Same question in regards to their Whitesville Tees.

If I’m not looking at the camera, I usually just pretend that I’m looking at something.

Great look
Still actively on the hunt for a pair of those…
Same here, there’s one in my size (32) on eBay, but it’s hemmed too short. Another pair, size 34 just popped up on eBay today.

It’ll be a while from now, but I really want the S601xx 44-45. Speaking of which, does anyone know the difference between the those and the S601xx 45?
