  1. Pull a few threads out here and there and you've got them!
  2. About time, isn't it? I'm expecting the Marks and Spencer's WW2 cut in time for Christmas.

    Denime

Which makes total sense, but also kind of reinforces a point I was trying to make - isn't Denime just an extension of Warehouse now? (And I don't think that was inevitable - they could have taken over the brand without assimilating it so thoroughly to their own. Seems a shame to me.)

    Denime

I speak as someone who owns only one pair of Warehouse jeans and no Denime, with no special liking for or animus against either company but... Does anyone else think Warehouse have basically ruined Denime? I know Denime has been through a series of incarnations already and aficionados might think it long since had its day, but it just seems mad now. Without ever having handled any, I knew basically what the 220xx was. I might have sprung for a pair at some point. Now every time I look on Bears there's another epicycle on an iteration of a version of it. It makes my head spin. Warehouse's numbering and style variations are hard enough to keep track of even if you're a fan. Did they have to do the same thing to Denime?
  5. I'm never quite sure what true to size means to be honest. My M65 is a medium. I have two other Buzz Rickson items - a crew neck sweatshirt in XL, and the short-sleeve chambray shirt in 16-16 1/2, which I believe is supposed to be medium. They're all the right size for me, which is not baggy but not tight either. I can comfortably wear the XL sweat under the medium M65.
  6. I have the Buzz Rickson one and I love it. Haven't handled the RMC one but I have seen the price difference and given the quality (as I see it) of the BR one I wouldn't regard it as justified.
  7. Thanks for this @Double 0 Soul . I've been wondering lately why I've seen so many guys wearing two pairs of tracksuit bottoms even in boiling hot weather - now I understand!
  8. Lake District is perfect I think. I don't know how busy is too busy for you but if you avoid the obvious routes (e.g. Scafell Pike) I think you'd be fine. I second the Peak District as well though.
  9. Haven't tried it and it sounds disgusting but it's ubiquitous here in west London as well.
  10. Thanks. To be honest I'm a bit afraid to go second-hand for a product i don't understand properly.
  11. If anyone can recommend a DAP that fits the following criteria I'd be very grateful : - under £250 - easy to transfer music from Windows - albums transferred remain organized as albums rather than as individual tracks - proper display so you can actually see what you're doing My impression has been that there's nothing in between cheap crap and £500+. A guy in Richer Sounds told me that this was basically true because all the needs between clipping to your shorts while running and really high end sound quality are covered by phones these days.

Stick with them. They'll settle down and they're a beautiful cut and denim.
  13. I've gone for the same. Decided I've got enough 50s-style jeans with the TCB 50s and the Sugar Cane 1955Z so trying something a touch slimmer.
  14. Thanks for that @AlientoyWorkmachine - I'm a definite 32 in Sugar Cane so I guess I'll go for 34.
  15. High rise + sized up 2 + super-stretchy waist = diaper butt But you do wear some heavy-duty belts so maybe you can keep them in place!
  16. Add a couple of inches to all those measurements and you've got precisely my conundrum.

The hips are pretty trim in the 50s but the waist will loosen up very quickly.

I tried on the 505 a while ago and the 34 fit me, although i didn't like the cut. My true waist is probably 33 (depends where you measure though) and I wear a 33 in the TCB 50s. (Could wear 34 but I don't like my jeans to sag.) If you're wearing a 36 in the 50s and you want a relaxed fit I'd go with 36.
  19. Deposit paid. It's nice when you've got the required amount sitting in your PayPal account and you'd forgotten all about it.
  20. I was unsure cos the price is so close to the hard limit of €300 that I set myself, but it's shaping up to be a great competition so I'm in (DMed). I expect I'll go for the 5150.

This being the case, the 34s will easily stretch to be big enough round the waist within a couple of days at most.
  22. Ah I see, it's the number not the jeans - thanks!
