Thought I’d give a bit of an in depth update.
Some threads are starting to unravel and I can see where my pair might end up in a few months time now.
Both pocket bags where the thing that broke first (This is very normal for me) and where mended months ago. Left side by hand and right hand side first with machine and later by hand.
Both are in need of some more work before the new holes get larger.
After that the threads at the crotch where unraveling. Caught it in time and matched up the thread colour pretty well I think.
Had to mend the back pocket where my wallet where making a hole. Below the pocket you can also see a fault in the weave (loom shatter?).Both knees are wearing thin and might break any day now and here’s to the million dollar question, to mend or not to mend?! Usually I’ll always mend these things but this being a comp I’m unsure. It’s harder to see the natural evolution with a big patch over the evo right?

Started to get a bit cooler here in Sweden so started wearing jeans again. Haven’t been completely faithful to the 40’s though. Missed about 2-3 months maybe.
Feels like they get better every wash. Can’t really say how many washes they’ve been through but maybe 7-8. Line dry except 1 trip in the dryer. Patch is still quite smooth and supple. Might have given it some mink oil early on.47 -

Some great lookin jeans on this page, especially yours @Yot! I’ve started wearing mine now after a successful men’s of the crotch. They’re really starting to pop.

Hope everyone are staying safe!
Sorry bout the lack of updates from my part. Was getting some loose threads at the crotch so I held up wearing them until I found my sawing kit (I’ve recently moved and a lot is still in boxes so it took a while).Finished:
Just got back a positive COVID test today, feeling ok though I guess. On a lighter note first really warm day here in Lidköping, Sweden and the trees are staring to bloom.

@specialchild just wear them man, it’ll be fine. Either the crease will disappear or it’ll be a fine outline down the road. Just embrace it. Wabi-sabi.

@Double 0 Soul They’re not mine. Just found them on a consignment site here in Sweden. Highly doubt that they’re anything but shoddy made fakes but thought they where fun.
Here are some more pics:

Ok @adii as no one has answered, the now defunked rugby line of Ralph Lauren has really long sleeves. I’ve got a few flannels from that line. They’re good quality and if you search ebay you’ll find some.

Just won a pair of Hawaii’s in one wash for €40 on Swedish ebay. They’re a W32 which usually is a tad big a waist size for me. Does anyone have any idea if they’ll shrink more with subsequent washing?

My phone was digging through the left pocket bag. Used some indigo dyed fabric and thread. I usually make quite a few stitches at a time with the needle so as to get a neat, straight row but the fabric is so thick and densely weaved that I just managed 2 stitches before pulling the thread through. Looks ok anyways I guess.

At what temps do you wash and do you use a dryer @mandel9000? iIf you don’t mind me asking of course? Secrets of the trade and all that. I wouldn’t mind that level of puckering and scruchiness you’ve got going on there you see!

If you guys want more pics of the above mentioned jeans, just ask. I still have them.

Does anyone know if these are one wash or not? There’s some mild puckering at the yoke but no other signs of them ever touching water. Gonna get them hemmed tomorrow so need to know if I should soak or not.
Bonus fact; got them off of Swedish ebay for about $20.
