  1. I sized down two sizes for my SS's. I originally bought a 33 and then sized down once more to a 32 after the saggy butt and bunched up crotch became more apparent. As others have mentioned...if you're a shirt tucker I think the high back rise can look a little odd. I think sizing down two lost a little bit of the roominess in the legs I was looking for, but I still like the fit. If I could have the 32 waist with the 33 legs that would of been ideal for me.
  2. I haven't handled any other Full Count denim or 60's repros in person, but they're definitely lighter than the TCB 50's fabric if that helps. Also - it could just be the lighting/camera. Took this one in a bit more sunlight. Wore these throughout the winter and they were great! Never felt super cold unless it was subzero temps, haha. Not much in the way of honeycombs...but yes, whiskers are coming through nicely.
  3. @PrettyBoyTony Here are some janky progress pics on my 0105 super smooth. It was tough to get the true color to come through on the full length pictures - these close up shots did a better job of capturing that. About 6-7 months in with ~5 washes. I'll take some better ones down the line when I get some more wear in. Plenty of texture even with the lighter weight, enjoying them a lot so far.
  4. Not often do I see people wearing selvedge denim in the wild - leaving the movies the other day, two people came out, one in a pair of Momotaro's and one in a pair of Iron Heart's. The guy in the Momo's held the door for me and my girlfriend and I hit him with a "nice jeans" and in return he hit me with a confused look. l think I assume everyone wearing nice jeans is into this hobby. He didn't even compliment me on my jeans, wtf!? 🙃
  5. I agree with Broark - have had several pairs hemmed by her. She also is really good at color matching thread.
  6. @harls I'm having the same fade line occurring on the back yoke of my pair due to fabric bunching from the rise. I don't normally wear tucked shirts so it doesn't bother me, but I could see it be annoying to some. Do you have your eyes on your next pair already?
  7. I feel like this musing should have been posted in the 'General Nonsense' thread, so sorry mods if I'm mucking things up here. As for me, I did buy one of the pre-distressed Full Count chino's and immediately sold them...it felt wrong. Like stolen valor (almost).
  8. TCB is starting to offer some "pre-vintaged" items, starting with overalls, and now a 40's jacket. I personally think they look really good for processed denim, but would YOU ever consider wearing them or do you consider it "cheating"? I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on it.
  9. I thought as much. I'll probably keep an eye for something on the secondary market rather than paying full price.
  10. I really like the offerings from Boncoura, but is there any reason why they're priced more expensively than other premium Japanese brands?
  11. Fun looking cut from Orgueil: https://pants-shop-avenue.com/item/OR-102/
  12. Hahaha, no I think they're as uncomfortable as they look. You're right though, the fit has a striking resemblance to a Depends Adult Diaper.
  13. I'm in the market for some swim wear for an upcoming trip and came across these from Mister Freedom. I can only imagine the looks I would get rocking these bad boys poolside, but the swim fades could be extraordinary. Right!?
  14. After months of debating, I picked up a TCB No.2 blouse a few weeks ago. Really happy with it. Between these and my Fullcount 0105ss', I'm really loving ~11.5oz denim...it's so comfortable and wearable.
  15. Interesting looking collab jeans from TCB/Moto/Mission District: Full post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DHsBbXxzVCZ/?hl=en&img_index=1
  16. Is proxy the only way to purchase things from Moto?
  17. Agreed - I've been eyeing those pants hard. They look great on you @youngofthesoonest!The price tag is the only thing holding me back at the moment 😅

  19. I have a couple UES Henley Thermals and they're very nice. They fit slim, but have a lot of stretch.
  20. @cultpop 0217 Had to do a doubletake. Wasn't expecting to see a brewery I've visited before! Excellent fit too 🤘
  21. Gave my 0105ss' their first machine wash and they shrunk more than I thought even on cold. Inseam shortened up a little and got some more leg twist. They've already loosened up quite a bit after a day or so of wear. Really enjoying these so far!
