Hi Guys, i want to buy a pair of 601XX jeans but there are couple types of their jeans on the internet with little info and details...

Can anyone help giving me more details with of all 601XX series, their cut and fabric? Any help will be appreciated.. Thanks a lot in advance :D

The ‘47 is the widest and has the darkest denim, the 43 is a touch slimmer and lighter-colored, the 51 is the slimmest with the lightest denim.

The 43 is the WW2 model and doesn’t have the yellow enamel-coated buttons and has green HBT pocket bags.

Of the three, the 43 cut is my favorite. :)

If anybody here has Red Wing Pecos, how did you size on them? I wear a 10 in moc toes and Iron Rangers, they fit me about perfectly. But I've heard sizing on these boots is different. Also, anywhere I can buy these in the US besides Snake Oil Provisions, which seems (probably) sold out in my size?

I'm a 10E Brannock, wore 10E in the 875 and 10 in Lofgren. I got some old 10D RW Pecos and the toe box is a bit narrow but the instep and heel are loose as hell. I think @ecsong187 found he had the same issue with them. I still wear mine, but they're kind of an odd fit. Also, the shaft is very wide at the top, so every time I stand up my pants just sit on top of the boot, Tsujimoto style (opinions will vary on whether or not this is acceptable, sometimes I rock it, othertimes it bugs me):

Am I the only one who thinks Heddels has really gone downhill since 2/3rds of their fades started coming from Indonesian or Thai brands with indistinguishable super high contrast fades by guys who never wash their jeans?

I feel like I've ragged on this before but I don't like these Indonesian brands. They're like a theme park parody of raw denim. All super heavy weight, super high contrast, pretty generic looking stock fabrics, all trying to knock off the Iron Heart aesthetic. I would much rather wear a "boring" jean like a Left Field Greaser made from Cone denim, or a Sugar Cane 1947, than any of these.

I hear you dude, but I can only assign fades that we actually receive; the majority of submissions are as you describe, with very few "boring", vintage-style fades. Thankfully we have been getting more leather/patina submissions, though. Still, I'm beholden to what people send my way, so if you guys want to start sending in more fades I'm all for it and then some. ^_^

  4. @MJF9 do you mean the infamous 'diaper butt'? I can't speak for the '51s but it isn't so bad on the '43s. Then again, I'm coming from the SC1947s, which had a ton of diaper butt to start off with, though it did settle down some. The FW '47s I had didn't have diaper butt, instead they had wedgie butt because I tried to size down one. :P The whole seat and even upper thighs were just too tight and I had to cut my losses.

A fit pic might help here; I'd say some diaper butt is acceptable, even desirable of how jeans "should" look.

  5. I haven't done any measuring on the '43s but they seemed to shrink some and stretch back to normal. I did manage to achieve some stretch on the waist of '47s, but ultimately sizing down didn't work out as the seat and upper thighs were too tight.

Still, I like the '43 cut better, and I suspect I'd like it better than the '51 too. Overall it's a winner for me; here's them a month ago:
