I’m not into jewelry or leather jackets Austin but both look good — tasteful and simple. If you love one or the other more, go for that one. You’ll wear it proudly, even if only in air conditioned restaurants in the summer. Forced to choose, I’d say the jacket. But the chain is fine too, as long as you like it enough to wear frequently.

I was going to wear my Roy's today but may have to sell them for $1,800 ;-)

I haven't worn my 105 enough to have this problem b_F but, based on how the fly is sewn, I can see this happening down the road. My temptation is to trim the sharp edge of the inner fly with a scissors but wonder if this will cause more problems than solve.

^ I'm passing too, for the same reason, but also because I'd be a 35 in these and he doesn't make size 35. Per the SE website, size 34 measures 35.5" in the waist, while size 36 measures 39".

It really needs to start early for me since I'm running out of jeans to wear. Yeah right ;-)

I love my Roys, almost as much as Broark, but wish Roy made more in size 35. Beautifully sewn jeans though, no doubt -- with details that have caused me to pull down my pants (discretely) at parties to show them off ;-)

Warehouse has a new 14oz denim for a 1946 model of their DD line, and this one actually can be bought in a non-wash state.
On a side note I've suspected a new Warehouse denim would come out, and all the while this has been sitting in the Spring catalogue since January...
I wonder how this compares to the 1943 DD-1003xx model, apart from the olive pocket bags.

Order placed. When you can't decide between a 35 and 36, order both!
Look forward to seeing which fits better, as well as where my waistline is in September.

^ That's good enough for me Bobbo (and also how I measure the waist -- put on em the bed flat and measure across the top). If you're a 35 in Ooe and I'm a 36, I must be a 36 in these jeans, as I think you said several pages ago ;-)

Hi guys! I'm waiting for an answer about the hemming and we haven't decided how to handle the one-washing yet. Of course you'll be able to change your mind later on if you forgot to mention it, Kuniyoshi-san starts sewing in August after all.
Here are measurements after a hot rinse and now a 40 degree machine wash. Waist is measured flat (not aligned) and the rises using Shingos measuring method. So it shrinks a little more than the chart says. But then it stretches out.
Size 35
Waist: 42 cm
Thigh: 32 cm
Front rise: 31 cm
Back rise: 36 cm
Inseam: 83,5 cm
Hem: 20 cm
Bobbo,
It sounds like we can add about 4cm to these numbers for stretch. So a size 35's post wash waist of 42cm as above (16.5" or 33" overall) will stretch to about 46cm (34.5"). And when you say the 'waist is measured flat', you mean the BIG method (i.e., laying the jeans fly up and measuring across the top), right?

^ b_F, good to see the size 36 Ooe OA02 is too loose on you -- married life is keeping you fit!
As an old man with muffin top, I find the 36 Ooe about right, so I'm still torn between 35 and 36 ... or may just ask Bobbo to order the jeans in 35.5" ;-)

Bobbo, trying to decide between size 35 vs. 36. It looks like 36 based on our Ooe / TCB sizing (36/34 for me vs. 35/33 for you) -- thoughts? My size 36 Ooe's have a waist circumference of just under 35".

Regarding waist and rise, here are some comparisons:
Denimbridge (36 post wash) / Ooe OA02 (36 stretched) / OrSlow 105 (size 3 after washing/drying):
Waist: 34.4" / 34.4" / 34.5"
FR: 12.6" / 13.25" / 13.25"
BR: 14.6" / 15.25" / 14.5"
Relative to the stretched Ooe's, it looks like the Denimbridge will have the same waist and slightly lower front and back rises. With stretch, however, I wouldn't be surprised if the Denimbridge in size 35 will more closely approximate the fit of a size 36 in the Ooe OA02.

Bobbo, sounds like you're a 33 in TCB, 35 in Ooe, and 35 in these jeans. I'm a 34 in TCB and 36 in Ooe -- so it sounds like 36.
Back rise was my concern since most of the jeans I really like measure over 16" (the BIG way). But I'll remeasure some Ooe's or OrSlow 105's the other way to see where they come out.

Belts

Any suggestions for a natural Chromexcel belt? Looking for something that will look good with a pair of Vibergs in natural Chromexcel, which are more tan/grey than tan/yellow:

^ that's funny 501XX4EVER. It does seem one hobby can lead to another.

My guess, based on no evidence or specific knowledge (other than owning a bunch of 501s in the 60s and 70s), is that these mistakes were unintentional by Levi's but intended by CSF.

I've had no problems with my Fullcounts Cold Summer, but most of them were raw to begin with. True, the arcuate stitching fades pretty quickly, but otherwise fine.

Loved the jeans from the last Ooe contest — one off #17 denim and the 02 fit, if I recall. My favorite pair of jeans, bar none.

I love Wescos scooby, including the Axe Breaker in horse. What was it about the Lofgren boots that you weren't wild about -- fit related?

Very nice Broark. I wonder how the Inazuma denim compares to the Lot DD-1003SXX LIMITED(1943 MODEL) denim. They look (kind of) similar at a glance.

The 1702xx are my favorite jeans of all time too. Love the OA02 Ooe fit and beautiful, soft denim with its vertical lines. Not sure why there isn’t more denim out there with similar characteristics.
