  1. Instagram is best. Language barrier is a challenge, especially when it comes to order modifications or detailed questions.  But I believe he will take orders for those willing to wait.  He is sometimes more responsive to initial order communications than to follow up questions but he has ultimately delivered reliably to me quicker than his initial one year estimates.  Boxes arrived on my doorstep, without advance notice or tracking, but they did arrive. Packaging is meticulous. If boxes can be beautiful, his are.

Despite all these challenges and high prices, I love my CSF jeans. They’re different and the whole experience is an adventure.  Fits are quirky, but good.

  2. ^ He's saying a year to me on jeans or a jacket.  But he said a year on a pair of 46 first half jeans back in August 2019 and they recently arrived.  My sense is that his time estimates are conservative so as not to disappoint.  He does take the money up front though.

  3. Sounds like you really did your homework Dylan.  Glad you're happy with the result.  I know some of the folks at Aero (Derek and Chloé) -- both have been great to work with.  But I haven't bought a leather jacket from them (yet), just some LVC jeans.

So many jackets to choose from, it does take time to figure out what will work best.  The Premiers sound great in terms of leather quality and hardware, but I fear the high armholes and trim arms will not work for my build (average 6-footer, but slightly large chest and arms).  The Highwayman looks good, as do the A-2s.  The keys are to get a nice hide, good hardware, good fit, and solid construction.  Sounds like you've done all that!

  4. ^ Interesting Smallrod.  I would have thought the KS1002 would be trimmer and more linear through the hips.

I have both models but 34 in Roy and 36 in Ooe -- both look good but the Ooe is more comfortable.  If only Roy made size 35 ;-)

  5. Any thoughts on sizing the new Heracles shirt?  I ordered L but am wondering if I should have gone XL.  The L measurements look about right but it looks like these may come in a bit with washing.  For reference, I'm an XL in Iron Heart shirts.

We now need Broark to post his collection. Who has more ROY??

Roy has the most ROY!  But Broark and I have a lot ;-)

If only Roy made more models in size 35 (or if I lost a few pounds), his beautiful jeans in size 34 would fit me perfectly.

These are great too b_F.  I actually bought a pair when I was visiting a college friend in Paris over a decade ago (he had a pair).  Unfortunately, I bought them too large (9.5, if I recall and I'm a 10.5 in US sizing) but I wore them anyway and they held up really well.  Extremely well made.  Heschungs are also made well -- close to Weston, I'd say, though I'm not an expert on shoe construction.  I do remember the Westons having a very soft, comfortable, leather lining.

  8. Have several pairs of Roy and Ooe -- both great, sewn beautifully.  If both were pianists, Roy would give a virtuosic performance and Ryo would play it as written, with a keen eye for historical detail.  Both would command high ticket prices and receive standing ovations.

Which is 'better' probably comes down to personal preference, fit, and body type.  Roy jeans vary more in fit (depending on the model), whereas with Ooe, the top block is pretty consistent from model to model.
