  1. Sequent is a cool experiment but what i really need is one of each color of that goddamn terratex convex.

edit and for the love of god what will it take to get a blazer lt/voronoi lt combo in ash?

  2. the old days of all new items every season and wild textile experiments are not coming back with conroy (or anyone), guys. veilance is big now, and the mother company has been consolidating the line and scaling it's production process for a while now.

lars did a goddamn amazing job navigating that process and still keeping every new season fresh, the new guy will have to play by the same rules.

I guess you mean the women's pieces because, with the exception of the pullover, the men's is just another rehash of previous seasons. JFS has owned it though imo.

i don't agree. the first two seasons were much more straightforward (and more 'old' acr-y) in terms of aesthetic. the last two seasons and this one especially are way more extroverted with all the cropped harem pants, messed up hoodies and weird colorblocking going on. it kind of follows the direction acr has been going in which also doesn't really work for me.

I'm super sceptical with the method of construction used in the pants shown in the photos. For a shell a single needle and tape might work great, in pants it looks like a poor design choice for durabilty.

this. i've communicated this very point to AV in the past. also the angle at which the seam sits concentrates shear forces on a small spot in the seam. however, while AV says they're aware of this issue, it seems like they don't actually get that many warranty claims related to seams popping.

I am seriously disappointed with the quality on the apparat pants.
Worn < 10 times, washed twice and this happened, crotch rip. https://imgur.com/a/0xvNb
Has anyone experienced the same with their pants and how was your experience like with veilance warranty?

the Veilance Crotch Tear(r)(tm) is a recurring theme in the apparats and voronois. it is generally covered under warranty.

  6. i ordered a graph a few seasons back and returned it for much the same reasons. it just doesn't seem worth the price. it also sat on me weird and felt insubstansive.

still hoping they'll do that beefy looking  fleecy cardigan lars was wearing in the leather goods article.

  7. Not sure about the nemis in specific, but a common cause of wavy textiles (like in the hem or cuffs of a sweat) is the elastic material loosening up at a faster rate than the adjacent material. Basically the amount of fabric in between stitches increases faster in one textile than in the other, causing the faster stretching material to bulge.

  8. i received my repaired voronois today. expertly executed by their swiss repair centre, with fresh seam taping (visually different but who cares). honestly if i had known they'd just repair it straight away i would've mailed and asked if they could put in a beefier seam.

After washing there are a number of very obvious glue or paint marks on the front of the pants that don't come off. Taking it up with the warranty department again..

the repair was free of charge, and interestingly stamped "NO WARRANTY - goodwill repair". I don't know whether this means "we don't feel like this is a warranty issue but in this case we feel bad for you cause it's the second time this happened", or whether veilance has a policy of allowing certain non-warranty repairs due to the nature of the brand.

  9. yeah it's a very good looking jacket. as an art director i really love veilance's consistency in photography, but tbh it does not do a very good job of conveying how cool their jackets sit on one's frame.

    Closed: oh im bloated now

looks good to me, dude. the entire jacket is just canted backwards a little. look at your posture in that pic you'll see that your shoulders are further back than your hips, causing the jacket to sit at an angle.

I just receive an email from arcteryx veilance warranty. They said I could take the arris jacket wich is 925$CAN . But there is no stock in size medium black. I would like to get the acrom but it's pricier than the arris. Anybody have some kind of experience with warranty return ? I don't want to pay the difference beetwen the arris and the Acrom(1300$CAN). I would like to deal with veilance service to have it for a certain price, like 100$ or maybe 150 more or something ? Can they do this, or if I want it I really have to pay the full difference beetween the arris and the acrom if I want it? Because the arris in my size and colour is not in stock.

are you seriously asking if they'll give you a more expensive item than you owned under warranty?
