Can anyone tell me how these match up to APC New Standards size wise. I plan getting one of the few 36s left but I am worried about the sizing. I am a big guy but I hate how the legs in larger sizes get annoyingly wide.

Kiya, do you guys have anything with a comparible fit to the Naked and Famous Weird Guys? They fit me really well but I am looking to get something different this time around. I was thinking the Dry Bones/Superfuture/Self Edge denim but I am a little hesitant to order over the internet because I will get smacked nastly with duties when they come into Canada.

Side note... are you guys able (read willing) to devalue the jeans for customs so as to make it easier for us Canucks to get them from you? For example putting a fake invoice in the box and emailing the correct one like I do for my customers in the states when I send them stuff.

is apc the most "entry level" of decent raw denim?

i always saw it as the french levi's. after wearing some dior 19cm, i still like apc's better. maybe someday i will choose another brand, tho.

I may be completely off on this but I think APC made Dior jeans for a while.

yeah i love the APC new standard fit but the thighs are just a little to tight for me. i dont have huge legs but they are also not skinny at all.....i find the weird guys to be perfect

Thats funny because I have both NS and Weird Guys in the same size and I find the NS to be much roomier to the point where I wish I went down an extra size beyond what I did.

Weird Guys... I don't know about the skinny guys as I have never tried a pair. I got a pair of weird guys and quickly decided that they have the best fit of any jean I have ever owned. I am a big guy so when I find somethiung that works I stick with it.

If I wore a 29 in Nudie Thin Finn's how would I size on WeirdGuys? Should I go skinny guys if I'm 5 foot 7-8 and 120 pounds?

Go down at least a size. I have three pairs, the indigo, deep indigo and grey. The grey and indigo have stretched the same. Haven't worn the deep indigos yet at all but I expect they wouls stretch the same given time as they are stiffer.

I just sent 2 pairs of jeans to get chainstiched at Klaxon Howl. The guy told me he would drop it off at the production factory (supposedly in scarborough) on Friday. He also told me it was $16 bucks a pair and to expect them around a week after Friday. I'll let you guys know.

just got a pair of desert boots and its really hurtin the back of my heels. anyone else gettin this?

I find it is pretty common for first timers. Is this your first time? Go to your local drug store or shoe shop and get they heel gel pad things. There is no support or cushion really so if you have sore feet just add it.

Word in the Naked and Famous thread is that Sydney's is having a sale on denim. Buy 1 pair and get the 2nd half off this weekend. I haven't confirmed yet but will be sopping by on my lunch break from work on Saturday.

I saw that someone had picked up a S&W Tactical pen a few pages back, and my local knife supplier had 'em for the cheap, so I decided to pick one up. Very solid, and it writes fairly well. I'm gonna try to grab some better refills for it, see if that helps.

Looking at getting a new backpack and casting a lot of my old bags aside for good. A friend of mine who is a Captain in the Canadian Special Forces (yes they exist) recommended these two. What do you think?

Most shoes hurt me when I first get them. I have weird shaped feet. They are really long and narrow so shoes that are good for length tend to be a little wide.

Today was much nicer. I had been wearing them with a brand new pair of cotton socks that were a little thicker than what I normally wear. I put on a pair of old trusty socks and a thick big band aid for where my heels are cut up and today is fine.

How do people treat the leather. Should I be using mink oil or conditioner or nothing? I tend to like a more work in rough look in my shoes and boots... my navy Clarks look grey for dirt and dust at work.

It doesn't sound like they're sized right. Did you order them or did you go to a Red Wing store?

They are sized right. My feet have just been used to very light and soft desert boots the last couple of years. Far cry from my hockey days when my feet were just one big callus.

I have the S&W one and it's well worth the 20-30 bucks you'll spend on it. Benchmade makes an awesome one but it costs a ton.

Anyone know where I can get this in Toronto Canada. I'd like to actually pick it up and feel it before I buy it.
