would be interested to hear what peoples opinions of monocle are a year and a bit on. I still think it's a very strong magazine and like the fact that it does not sit entirely in just fashion, current affairs or politics sections of newsstands. I have heard a few people mouthing off about disliking monocle for becoming a bit 'pretentious'. thoughts..............?

Yeah a bit pretentious but overall I find the magazine does a little bit of everything and I like that. I like the fact that they do not restrict themselves to just what is between the covers and have opened the retail business, radio broadcasts and product collaboration... how many magazines are expanding as much as them. Obviously they are doing something right.

Read that and posted it on the Toronto Meetup page. I emailed Tyler but haven't heard back from him. I know he loathes Toronto but I think it could do well here... and maybe we wouldn't get the magazine a month after it is released everywhere else for once.

Just picked up my weird guy indigo's with blue stitching. Love my grey weird guys so I had to get an indigo pair. Got them so tight I could barely do up the second last botton. Wore to work today and now I can get the top button done up. Might jump on the tread mill and work up a sweat to loosen them up a tad. I wore my grey ones on a hot day on a busy day at work and the added moisture seemed to help them stretch.

Are those the pair with the copper stitching or the blue stitching?

Been wearing my parka for a week. I ride a Vespa to work so the added is a must along lakeshore in the more... bring on the colder climate. All my best favorite stuff is for this season.

Went and bought another pair of weird guys today. I bought the indigo with copper stitching but they don't fit. I already have a pair of the weird guys but these are a few inches smaller in the waist and a full inch narrower in the leg. Is this common with these jeans?

The Horrors - Primary Colours

Just saw these two bands live here in Toronto at the El Mocambo. They were really truly amazing. Went for Twilight Sad and was really surprise at how much I liked Jetpacks. Loving the Glasgow resurgence!

how is snow leopard running for you guys? running smooth etc? better? noticeable? i'm hesitant because i'm ignorant about how much improved it is.

No problems whatsoever. The only small thing I noticed has been mentioned; once you install it you need to upgrade your flash and a few flash based programs. I had to switch to Transmission from Azureus for a little while until Azureus got their upgrades done.

I talked to one of my bosses today, he seemed interested. I'm going to start doing the dutil blog, so if theres enough interest i'm sure we can work something out with a collaboration between us. Definitely will ask brandon about it if we can get twelve people in.

Thats such a strange place for that tear, even though you sized down twice. where did you buy them? if the stores just they'll take that pair back, send it to N&F, repair it, then send it back.

At least they did that when my top button fell off...

Is this a really common problem? How easy is it to fix this split. My grey Weird's look like they are about to do this. Right where the buttons are that seam is loosening up and I have only had them for a couple weeks. I sized down one and they stretched to fit great but i don't want them to split.

Go to Grateful Head. I can't gives those guys and gals enough praise. They do an awesome job, create a great atmosphere, there is always good music on... just go and see for yourself. It's on Dundas just on the north side of Trinity-Bellwoods park.

That looks pretty awesome. I like what is talked about in the book because I am actually in the motorcycle industry so I can relate to getting my hands dirty and doing shit for myself.
