Does anyone have experience with the RMC A2? There's a strong possibility I'll be buying a (very lightly) used one off a friend for a very cheap price. I mean, I know it's good--I've tried the thing on--but I'm still curious to here from those who have worn one long term.
And if anyone wants that new SE-exclusive Buzz Rickson A2, let me know. Mistakes were made in regard to sizing! I'll let it go for very little.

Not to sound like a broken record, but.
Dehen jacket should be coming soon huh?
We've got 'em in New York. Call Thomas!

As someone who has never owned a new leather jacket, I could use some advice. I'm trying to decide between a 38 and a 40 in the William Gibson x Buzz Rickson A2 (it's gorgeous, and coming to a Self Edge near you!), but neither is jumping out at me as the "right" size. Should I expect some give/stretch with HH?

I'm looking for something to fit comfortably in my coin pocket--is this a safe bet?

what's the sizing/fit of these compared to other jeans (e.g. sc47)? thanks!
PM incoming!

^ I don't want to be nit picky but I'm going to be, sorry. That's not a G-1, it's a civilian copy that is loosely inspired by the USN issue flight jacket. A nice jacket probably but no G-1.
I'm not trying to pass it off as something it isn't; I've always just referred to flight jackets with fur collars as a "G1s" due to the styling. I mean, it's pretty obvious looking at my pictures that the details don't resemble anything that the military actually put out (I'm referring to the buttons, but the price should also make that obvious). I'll edit my post for the sake of transparency, but I highly doubt my original description was hoodwinking anyone.

Bump! I'd buy the Resolutes if they were a couple sizes smaller.

I'm selling my worn 1947s (posted a few pages back) for a very low price. They're too big! Check out the other cool stuff for sale, too.

Measurements are taken SELF EDGE-STYLE so refer to that section on the website for clarification. Let me know if you have any questions/requests!
And I apologize for the poor quality of my photos, but a camera phone and a poorly lit apartment are all I have to work with right now. Here we go...
Below is a Buzz Rickson A2 Flight Jacket in Black Horsehide (size 40, SE-exclusive "Black Woods" edition). I bought this as my last employee purchase, but I didn't quite size it correctly. The 38 was a bit too tight and the 40 is, after a great deal of consideration, a bigger than I'd like. I wore the jacket *maybe* 3 or 4 times out of the house, so there's no visible wear to speak of. It might as well be brand new (all tags are included).
Price: $995 shipped, CONUS*. This is a pretty insane deal considering it retails for $1875. I should also add that this size is sold out on the Self Edge website (refer to its listing there for accurate measurements and *much* better photos).
*International buyers: PM me and we'll work something out.
Flat Head Native Check shirt in Grey, size 42 - SOLD

Thanks guys. I'm glad I was stopped. After a lot of digging through fit pics, I came across sized down hawaiis and 47s, and there's a LOT of buttsuck/crotchcrushing like Erase must've been describing. I'm leaning towards the 2009 now since their measurements meet up almost identically with my jeans now, but I might just make a trip out to SE to see if they have one in my size to try on before I buy.
Thanks again guys for looking out for me lol
For the sake of politeness, you probably shouldn't use Self Edge as your changing room if you're buying from Rakuten. The guys at the LA shop aren't there to help you make purchases from other stores.

Thanks guys! How tall are you j? I'm 5'9 so the slightly shorter rise (considering the fullness) makes the cut perfect for me.
'
6' with most of that height in my legs, which doesn't help.

Those look great on you, Ben! My height makes the rise on those look absurd--otherwise I'd probably have a pair myself.

I'll make a proper post pretty soon, but I thought I should mention that I'm selling two SG loopwheeled items: one indigo crew neck sweatshirt (L) and one in grey (also L).
The grey is washed and dried for shrinkage but otherwise unworn--the indigo has seen a bit of wear but is still extremely saturated with blue. PM me if you're interested because letting these go for *very* cheap. I've lost weight.

i unexpectedly came upon a pair of raw 1947s; after a 30-45 mins warm soak and line dry they have a perfect loose fit everywhere but the waist which is a little snug though should stretch out just fine. my only fear is that everything will shrink up significantly with repeated washings and i'll end up wishing they were one size larger. this is my first experience with the raw SC denim, anyone have opinions/experience with it? thank you!
They'll definitely shrink more if you throw them in in an agitated wash, but you should be fine. They should only ever shrink back to where they are now if you stick to the same washing routine.
