  1. if you're looking for suspender buttons why not get the 20s?

I think the 60s and 505 would look pretty weird with suspenders.

@volvo240thebest Since you have extensive experience with TCB, I am asking you directly. Others, please feel free to chime in as well.

Sorry if this has been addressed earlier. I just read at least 50 pages of this thread and can't understand TCB fits. I am interested in the TCB 50s slim and am a true 37 waist so I checked with Denimio. They recommended tag size 36 and that it will become 37.8 post wash. Does that sound accurate? When I asked them for TCB 60s, they recommended tag size 38. I thought it should be other way around and the slims should fit more snug?

Also, the rise in my size is 11 inches so not terribly low as I read through a lot of posts in this thread?

If the 50s Slims aren't a great fit as most people find the rise to be too low and the taper to be too aggressive, what is their next pair of slim fitting jeans? Slim straight will be fine, don't really need a tapered leg.

A sized down 50s will be slim. Otherwise there is no high rise slim option from TCB. So if you measure 37 ; order a 36. The waistband will stretch out.

Edit: I don’t know about the rises on the 505 or super slims

  3. the 60s will fit tighter in the same size because they ride lower. that rise takes em down to hip level instead of just below the navel on the 50s.

  4. Thanks @volvo240thebest

twas indeed a laptop. We’ll see how it goes.

@Paul T I think the 20s are really helped by the larger cuff. I actually just finished hot soaking these. I was trying to replicate what I did with the first pair and I’m thinking I hot washed them in the machine and then dried. This time I cold washed and dried. The leg twist wasn’t quite as dramatic, which to me, is a good way to tell if the shrinking is done.

I love my Seaman's jumper . Although I'm weird, I like it dark and don't want it to fade, but it's crocking like a bastard. I wonder it it's the same fabric as the Buzz Rickson armorer's jumper which did exactly the same.

Can we see some pics of the bastard?

  6. I love @Maynard Friedman and his jokes but sometimes worry that there is a clinical element we’re missing.

Also, I have a mailman who has got to be one of the best postal workers to wear the uniform. His name is Paul. He waves and says hi whenever I see him while walking the woofer; and is sure to tell me if I have anything good coming. He sends me a Christmas card every year. He’s certainly never wearing any non regulation gear. Except for his umbrella hat that his daughter got him for his birthday.

not to make anyone jealous - i certainly know the pain caused by postal frustration but good ones are out there.

I'll hold a Full grudge against he who shall not be named until it becomes unreasonable and makes no sense haha.  You can Count on that!

Oh please believe grudges shall be held. I plan on carrying my grudge until I can’t remember what it’s even about.

    Godbless the osaka 4.

    Too far?

  8. ugh. I shoulda just gotten a refund. I'm not interested at all in pants with weird pocket designs or 2 patches. I've got no problem ripping the cat ear stitching off the pockets but getting that patch off the waistband interferes with the construction of the jeans. I'll wait til my pair arrives but consider this an interest check on a size 31.

This branding is really “hot” right now I suppose, because this looks EXACTLY like the AtLast and Belafonte back branding

I think it’s just the traditional branding for overalls. Pointer overalls and others have very similar type and color combo
