Perfect fit in my book

Super bump! Anyone wearing repro HBT or general military inspired trousers? Looking for a good M-47 for example

Peak Indy for me...40538H from Alden Madison, most importantly, on cork neoprene sole just like the OG 405. I understand the trend of Commando soles the last few years for anyone who still follows Alden, but I generally prefer cork or leather soles as they just seem to match these old styles better.

Among the best faded denim I've seen in a while

Not sure if anyone else follows Shoes Radio, but definitely worth it even if you don't understand Japanese for the boots aging alone. Dudes dress pretty on point as well (Rolling Dub Trio crew)

Glad to see I'm not too far behind our fellow JPN contestants, it really gives me hope as I was expecting to be at least a year behind
#175 may be among my most favorite fits!1 -

I promise, no urban cowboy creased 501’s...or 517’s, from the 90’s or 80’s (added bonus)
Will settle for urban cowboy 1890's instead

Can't believe we've made it all these years without a general vintage thread...Thanks for thinking of this @Flash, I'll have to dig some stuff out for photos...

Agreed, beautiful pair already @mandel9000!

My all time favorite boots...Alden 4060 (HC variation). The 4060 was the design that got me into footwear in the mid-aughts after trying to find a dress boot that replicated the rugged yet dressy vibes of the 1920's-40's that could equally be worn wearing coveralls or a suit. In particular, I find that Alden's Grant last leans in heavy into this aesthetic, and I'm able to wear a dress boot like this all day (or an Indy for example), over heavier boots which now jolt my knees unfortunately. My White's and Wesco's are sadly collecting dust!

Barnstormers says they can sort me out so I may get the 01 cut after all. I'll be happy with either, but I'll go with whichever way the universe tells me to first

Kicking myself as I completely missed out on the pre-order of the Barnstormers. Here's hoping I have better luck with the 03 cut.

No harm in sizing up; Ooe was the brand that taught me I could and should wear a size 38 and I haven’t looked back since

Based on simple deduction, the XX27 should be the same denim as the following (peep the selvage ID):
https://www.ropedye.com/2012/11/1927-501xx/Will be cool to get a pair. BTW, they're doing another run with the 03 cut...I'm not sure which I'll go for yet!

^Patch looks crazy @roomtemplacroix
Also for anyone waiting on those Barnstormer's, I tried to put a reservation down but they said they're trying to determine the price before they can open it up3 -

Shout out to anyone who remembers (or read) Repeat to Fade back in the day. Here's what I'm aiming for with my pair...

Not to burst your bubble but the 711 rise is lower than the 710 (as far as I know), I sold my pair because of that.
I might buy a pair of 710's sized up to 40 one day.Bubble burst!

I'm sure you've all read this by now, but I found it a fascinating look into Hayashi-san's mindset and approach with Resolute. A few tickles:
-He only wore Levi's while at the helm of DENIME
-His ideal style is the European interpretation of American Ivy
-He displays a certain disdain for workwear (loose jeans stacked over work boots)
-Washes his jeans once a week
All in all, Hayashi-san is my denim spirit animal and I really want a pair of 711's now. I could never get 710's to fit me, so hopefully a higher rise would help out.9
