Picked up a pair of the banner denim 220XX-47's in Japan at the Warehouse flagship. Funny enough, I liked them more than the WH pairs I tried on 😂

Haha yeah this exactly, happens to me every time! Average 20k steps per day, smaller portion sizes, stopped working out (lost muscle mass), overall heat killed the appetite compounded by being there for over a month! Goal is to live there permanently by end of year, so hoping to keep off the weight long term

Lost a ton of weight in Japan and fortunately fit into my pair again, which also coincides with me wanting to wear slimmer cuts lately. I ordered mine around 2020, a '37 cut with a modern taper (like 2000's 501's) so I might be breaking them in again. Glad to finally get around to it!

Would echo b_F that what they're doing is interesting and should be more popular outside of Japan, but for whatever reason (probably the age of the brand compared to the established Osaka 5 etc.) I haven't deep dived. Even when I visit Tokyo I always manage to skip the shop even though it's in one of the most accessible areas on one of the busier shopping streets 😅 I would say their work with shirting and jackets is particularly admired in Japan though

Seems to be the case for me, though I hang dry over night and pop them in the drier on low for 5-10 minutes in the morning for residual moisture in order to wear that day. Was hoping for more even fades, but regardless it's reflective of my lifestyle choices 😅

Also feeling behind as I only wear them about 2-3 hours a day, but I there's enough time to catch up! Like our friend volvo, I'm happy with how things have set and will be washing more frequently now as honestly I'm looking for more even fades, similar to vintage pairs here and here. So lacking was my knowledge that I didn't even consider there were black/black and black/white fabric variations 😅 But vintage black 501's and 505's have been making the rounds the past couple years on the Japanese vintage outlets I follow and something finally clicked with me (the marketing, I guess) @Hopethisoneisnttaken it's looking like TCB might be the route for me, especially given the price point and not being sure how often I'd wear them but I'll have to check if they have a black/white @ATWM it was the Ooe's (along with the vintage trend) that piqued my interest if I'm honest 😂. Did you pre-order? @reallypeacedoff thanks for the Samurai tip! Remember seeing those pop up here and there back in the day and always liked the fades. Could be a good option if I like where the TCB's take me @youngofthesoonest will look into the Boncoura's as well, thank you! @discwork Fullcount getting much of my business (currently breaking in 0105's and 1101's) so it'd also be interesting to try them in black/white! Much appreciated
