  1. thanks to beautiful freak for telling me about bears toyko. shipping was really fast and they already had been shortened to 32" length by DC4 which is next door.

my W32"  "one wash" pair measures roughly 34" in waist and 36" in length. I would expect these to fully shrink to a real 32" waist and and a 30" leg after a couple of washes.

if I had known better I would have sized down to a W30. when the sun gets out again I will do some photos for comparison to the us made version, the denim comes really dark compared to the SC42021 which I got earlier this year. anyone else got a pair of these 1955z?

  2. here is a fine example of a similar jacket, unfortunately not my size

all these jackets share a slightly elongated tab, those unfamiliar bronze coloured button backs and the beautiful neppy denim,

that is imo superior to the standard cone denim of the era. wonder of what origin this might be!?

  3. Really great find, never I a have seen a white tab version of that jacket. I have e similar jacket but with a little e orange tab, same pocket flap shape and neppy denim.

I pretty sure that your jacket is an early european made specimen and must be mid 1960s.

  4. @Rehnen1

the last pair I had fit perfect (wouldn't need a belt) when raw and on the slimmer side after a wash, even with long wear they wouldn´t have fully stretched back but still could wear em.

    hope it helps

  5. @hazelthese are legit and from what the wash tag reads made in march 2007, be happy to find an US Made 505 that also features the imo cool scoovil zipper,

later reincarnation had been produce in turkey years before LVC quit the US production of the hole line.

  6. I have to disagree the doctor a little, your pair is certainly the last reincarnation of the 1880s made for fall/winter 2017 (CW-1017), the natural indigo loom state denim was the last big project of Cone Mills back in the days. I bought it myself, but hence the fitting - this was the time when LVC decided to come true to size - it rests unworn in closet.

  7. @beautiful_FrEaK: great news!

maybe the comparisons between the US made 55s and the Japan made 47s fails but they 55s feature a more off white weft which gives the denim a nice greenish cast.

let's see if it's coming back too in fall. btw. eventually I got me pair of those 21s from bears. considering their price I probably will never again by any LVC 40-50s repro again in my life.

  8. Is yours a pre lawsuit version? I hope they will ever make it back, for me it's a perfect fit because of it's high rise, that now comes only with the new 2021 I reckon.

  9. beautiful specimen dr. heech, and kind of scarce, especially with the single needle inseam and 501 style outer seam (how is that construction called btw?) and that black tag. a predecessor of the orange tab line, that feature double felted in and outseam simple bar tacks.  I just wonder what makes your sure those 606s are ladies jeans rather than unisex fit? over the years on from 2003 they had been part of both men and women LVC collection every now and than. these were the jeans young folks would have worn in the 60s before, along with the famous 646 and 607, bell bottoms become state of the denim art...
