  1. no offense to anyone else but i'll just say i thought my main man TV was gonna take whole bowl of marbles with his pair. i've seen them with my own 2 eyes and they are super-spectacular...#46 has the classic vintage fade, so i'm not suprised that a jean with less killer-contrast won. i've never thought that the most hardcore heads are that impressed by a lot of whiskers, combs, and highlight contrast, since really you just get a pair of good jeans, wear them a bit snug, and don't wash often. not saying i hate contrast, but the only difference sometimes between contrast or not is the fit and how the jeans were laundered. so i can see how a gordon or a miki-san (or even a inazuma mag rep or hayashi-san himself) would be impressed with a jean that looks as though it's been worn by someone who was oblivious to sufu rules and steez, but still wore the jeans with dedication. note that klue got honorable mention for the intensity of fade and wear, but that alone didn't seem even third-best to whoever was judging. so with all this said, tv's pair was the best pair if a vote was taken by those who regularly peep the evo thread, and #46(or even settermans' pair, which has lovely vintage fade) were best for the 'vintage-fade' fans...i hope this all makes some kind of sense. everyones pair is great in it's own light. everybody is a star...

  2. haha, I wasn't trying to stir the kettle about thread types, just commenting mostly because of my rear pocket stitching. I can't keep my wallet or phone in them anymore because they might slip out the bottom!

Really, I think these wore so hard and so fast because they were almost too small for me for half the time I wore them - that will tear any garment up. But hey, they're just jeans, right :)?

But dudes giving each other ass fades? I don't know about that...

oh nah i ain't mad, but forreal my dude if you look at how abused the back pocket of the 660s you posted is, it's easy to tell that even the strongest thread won't hold up to that level of sadism. and yes, wearing a garment too small will shorten its life, no matter how quality that garment is.....anybody out there;)

  3. vinneus i think that your fit is what the makers of the jeans intended for them to fit like. the 700 cut is a 1930s-1940s real workwear cut, not 66 style cut that it seems most of us here on sufu are rocking(for now). if they are a bit big in the waist, the buckleback is fully-functional you know...you aren't a skinny dude and imho skinny jeans on non-skinny people looks silly. there's a logical reason why the first jeans are vastly baggier than what we wear nowadays...people actually worked in their jeans, so they needed more upperthigh/crotch room since they were active. that's why cotton thread wasn't an issue a lot of times cause the looser the crotch the less chance of it ripping open

  4. if someone thinks bad of what you rock it means shit unless you depend on their finances to sponsor your superdenim addiction. the avg. joe dresses to fit into the general style whatever that is. so basically you have people copying other people who dress just like themselves, all to be perceived as ''hip/fashionable/in-style''. that's why when i go to work i see a million dudes wearing the same rocawear/coogi jawns with the AF1/jordans/some kind of nike basketball shoe...but in a way we're no better, we all graft steez from each other. and nothings funnier than seeing 2 hipsters here in richmond who hate on each other because they thought that before today they were the only person around here with APCs.

  5. great jeans paul T and amardeep

arcasenal's denime and warehouse 660's kick ass, but as a fair defense for the denim it's obvious that he wears his jeans hard so i don't know of any jeans that would stand up to 13 consistent months of hard wear without several repair issues regardless of what they are stitched with. it's funny to me how everyone loves to complain about weak thread, but not about holes that develop over time(for some of us). you wanna know why? it's cause a worn or torn thread is seen as an annoyance, but a hole is a badge of honor, proof to the rest of the superdenim worn that you have been ''hard-core'', and you rock your 300 boutique jawns like you bought them at sears. someone needs to make kevlar-stitched jeans so cats won't complain. but it will look stupid as shit when your jeans are patched and faded but the arcs and seams are pristine...i just scanned up the page and saw dudes giving each other ass-fades. if they turned around i wonder if they would pose grab each other's.....u know

  6. salaami's 2 pennies:

as much as i go gaga for superdenim-level selvage jeans the rule is that just about any denim with a quality rope-dye job if worn from raw for a long period of time will fade well in general. i think personally a lot of cats are not happy with a particular denim because it fades too slowly compared to how they thought the jeans would in any given amount of time. it's a microwave mentality, if people don't start to see killer-combs and mean whiskers in 6 months they blame it on the denim and recommend against it. but forreal if you don't do laborous activity in a pair of dark-as-shit jeans how soon do you think the white will show though, or exhibit hue variation in areas of wear? cat's don't rock their jeans as hard as they think they do. it's okay it's not a race, even if you're in a contest. i've yet to see a pair of okayama loomed jeans worn for a long time that doesn't look dope. the denim doesn't lie! never!

about those #1 heritage with the gold stitched arcs, they still have some here in downtown richmond. i've been telling cats about them for a while, heres the linkhttp://www.limitededitioninc.com

last time i was in there ( i only go there to fondle the # 1 denim and stare at the weft side for a minute or two, and then i leave) dude was selling them for 130usd. nemoulette if you can get a pair for 100, get them! they aren't #1's from BiG, but they are raw#1 evisu regardless... most MiJ jeans are sewn by chinese women anyway, trust.

  7. another unexpected run in with salaami & his denime's a little while ago...

i have a bad habit of just showing up unannounced at lendo's crib sometimes when i'm in the hood. although i must apologize for the quality of the trees. i had just picked up from the projects down the street. the weed-chick just kicked her boyfriend out so she lost the connect for the good shit. i repaired the big-ass hole on the right upper-thigh with a peice of 1000xx WH denim. i used the weft-side facing out like i always do when patching an area that is already faded to the white. it visually blends in better color wise. i really need to do something about this hole that my wallet is eating through the back pocket. i'll get around to it within a month or so. the sooner it becomes an annoyance the faster it'll get fixed...

amar, your shits are looking dope, very nice fade progression, and i always love crinkly denim. i've noticed that my pairs denim isn't as crinkly as some of you other contestants. about the red tab, if the wear the jeans actively long enough the tab will become folded back onto itself, and no one who is willing to stoop down or bend over to read or kiss your ass will be able to find out what kind of uber-expensive japanese master-crafted vintage loomed hand-sewn mega-denims you have on. a shame isn't it, but don't go out to procure the anti-depressants just yet, for rest assured it will tear, tatter, and die a slow but beautiful death. mine has been long gone months ago. only tiny red sliver is left.

  8. at the soccer shop here in town you can order the name and # for like 30 bucks. the FIFA WC patch is like $10, if you're lucky you can get the qualifier rounds's patch. i had to do that with my brasil, , argentina, spain, netherlands, germany, and ghana jerseys. for some reason the offfical name kit for japan(i ordered #18 honda) is really hard to get. i grabbed a DC united and a FC Dallas shirt today, i'm calling the soccershop now to see if i can get my last name 'ABDUN-NOOR' put on the back. i hate blank jerseys but i hate waiting for the name kits i order to arrive so i rock them once or twice and wash them and then have my dude put the numbers on. i'll get a sam eto'o shirt(cameroon) and then i'm done for a while. i've grabbed like 10 authentics in the past month...hence my other addiction.

  9. with women , i favor girls with cute round faces, the body usually depends on the ass/hips/ratio. as far as tits, i take anything from a perky b cup and up. gotta have tits, or you look like a boy. i always want the pic of the litter. it's a habit....now it's a trip cause everybody wants to know how i got my wife

  10. yeah, kuniyoshi san said that if you look at the outseam at the hem you can tell how much tension was put into the hemstitch. it will be skewed offline from the outseam line. the more tension(skewing) the more pronounced roping. that's why at BiG and take5 they up the tension to the max.

as for one pair being greenish and the other purple, this is due to the caste of the indigo. the purple one is called red-caste. a lot of vintage denim as well as our jap repro faves have red caste. the green caste is a wink to the old amoskeag mills denim levis used way back in the day. so it's somewhat safe to say that the oldest denim had a green caste. look in paul t's book. sadly, most cats who work in the better denim stores have no clue what caste is... so don't waste your time asking. i know that regular indigo fullcount denim is red caste

  11. i got a authentic #13 mike ballack DFB home jersey from the WC qualifiers. i'll be sure to rock it tues for all my duetscher bund homies. muller ( the future of german football) has been wearing the # 13 since the kp boateng foul that put ballack off of the pitch. but it seems bastian and ozil have the midfield rejuvenated and refreshed. but how will they fare against xavi and iniesta? we'll see...

  12. fine pair mr. atzec, very fine indeed. now start wearing another jean before i get nervous.

GO GHANA! i hope we kick the shit out of these uruguay cats. all these new authentic jerseys i've gotten lately, and no cam.
